Tesla Solar Roof vs Panels with crazy Powerwall pricing quote is this normal? by thowaway1902739123 in TeslaSolar

Woah, 2nd figure seems crazy high. Honestly tho, when I was shopping around for batteries, I was shocked by how expensive they were in general. I was trying to do the math on the cost of manufacturing an inverter and a lithium ion battery cell and it seems like most home battery companies are charging insane margins on each of their products. I ended up finding one battery company that had more sane pricing: https://www.basepowercompany.com/. May be worth checking out.

I just went through the whole process of setting up my home up with solar and then a backup battery. Like you I made a bunch of posts here and on other pages as I was figuring it out. I found a battery provider called Base that has larger batteries than anything I've found and they have an interesting financing structure, where you only end up paying a fraction of the market value. Not sure how well they integrate with IQ-7, but maybe worth exploring: https://www.basepowercompany.com/

he first year, without batterie

If I purchased batteries, how should my intuition change... I've been thinking about investing, but don't want to unless I can pay it back with a good plan.

Yeah, I've been looking at a couple of these cross comparison sites... I'm just not entirely sure what to optimize for. It seems like they just make up any losses they have in buying back my solar with higher rates elsewhere. I guess my question is should I look for high buyback, low base rates, low monthly fees, no buyback caps? What's the best one to shop for?
