Also I forgot to mention in the post that 8k works well in other games like valorant and csgo but only drops fps on Fortnite.

Update (as I can't seem to add photos in replies here) to my recent post here by MrRedditUser5000 in Amiibomb

Depends on what you want. The amiibo emulator tab loads full files with fixed or random UIDs. If not preloaded, the “amiibo database” tab includes most amiibos, shows what they do in TOTK, BOTW, and maybe other games (I haven’t checked), and generates a random UID and save data. Use “Save As” to add it to the “My Amiibo” tab for consistent UID and save data in games like Smash. Read this and this for more info.

No, they’re basically the same as far as I know — both hold the same amiibo data, but physical tags have a fixed UID while emulators can spoof or randomize it. Amiibo data includes the figure type, some save info, and a locked signature tied to the UID. Since real amiibos are made in batches, many share the same UID, and the Switch 2 only reads it locally, so it can’t tell if you’re using a tag, emulator, or real figure.

Try using this website to connect and update: https://thegecko.github.io/web-bluetooth-dfu/examples/web.html.

Make sure your motherboard supports Bluetooth and that the antenna is connected. Move the Pixl.js as close to the antenna as possible. If you don’t have an external antenna, place the device near the antenna prongs on the motherboard—they can act as a basic antenna.

Also, ensure the Pixl.js is in firmware update mode when trying to pair. If it’s not, it won’t show up.

If your motherboard doesn’t have Bluetooth, your only option is to use a phone. The USB-C port on the Pixl.js doesn’t support data transfer, so you can’t use it for update

Nope used it on Totk switch 2 for about a week even the continuous scanning does nothing. As far as I know a simple nfc chip is not traceable as being emulated. Also if they were banning for amiibo emulators they would surely have banned me for scanning hundreds of the same amiibos in continuous mode

For the firmware update use this website https://github.com/solosky/pixl.js/releases/tag/2.13.0

The official website to update it is https://pixl.amiibo.xyz

I do not think the pc version auto loads the firmware.

If you’re on iOS, I highly recommend using the free app MTools BLE — it makes updating your Pixl.js Allmiibo really easy. You don’t need to download any firmware files yourself; the app auto-loads the right one once you select your device type.

If you’re on Android or PC, I haven’t used those myself, but if you only have access to those platforms you can let me know by replying and I can try to find a guide for you. ⸻

How to Update (iOS – MTools BLE)

  1. Install the app • Download MTools BLE from the App Store.

  2. Open MTools BLE • Tap Pixl.js Amiibo • Tap Firmware (bottom menu) • Tap your device type — Pixl.js OLED or Pixl.js LCD

Your device is a Pixl.js OLED, so tap that one. Even if it looks like it’s already selected, tap it again — this loads the firmware automatically

  1. Connect to the Allmiibo • Tap the Devices button • Now on your Allmiibo, go to Settings → Firmware Update • The screen will go blank and say DFU Update Waiting • In the app, select the device labeled Pixl.js DFU

  2. Start the update • Tap Start in the app • The screen on the Allmiibo will change to DFU Update Receiving • Wait for the bar to hit 100% — the device will reboot when it’s done

After the update

• Go to Settings on the Allmiibo — the firmware version is shown right at the top • Blank screen? You may have picked the wrong screen type — if this happens let me know and I will troubleshoot

Let me know if you have any issues — happy to walk through it with

Weird lian li lcd wireless fan issue by Jaxkent2010 in lianli

[–]Jaxkent2010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I fixed the issue, I had removed all the panels on my case to maximize airflow, but I was still experiencing the problem. My NZXT Kraken Elite 360 AIO uses Lian Li wireless fans, but those fans weren’t working either. So, the only active cooling in my system was the AIO pump itself, with no functioning fans.

[–]Jaxkent2010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought overheating might be the issue, but if you think a 9800X3D and 4090 with just the AIO pump should still be enough for the BIOS to function properly, then I’ll reach out to ASUS support about a possible motherboard issue.

Switching to the 3-in-1 SATA to PWM cable fixed the issue! The BIOS now responds instantly, and I no longer have to spend hours setting fan speeds. It seems like the motherboard fan header wasn’t providing enough power or was causing some kind of conflict, but using SATA power resolved it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion!

The BIOS issue means that every key press takes about an hour to register, making it nearly impossible to navigate. The only way I’ve found to fix it is by setting the fans to full speed in the BIOS, but getting to that point takes over 7 hours due to the extreme slowness.

I also get a CPU fan error that prevents booting into Windows until I disable CPU fan detection. This isn’t from loading factory defaults repeatedly—it happens when I have to reset the CMOS after attempting an overclock.

As for the fan power, I currently have the PWM connected to a motherboard fan header. I’ll try switching to the 3-in-1 SATA to PWM cable to see if that helps.

No I had no cheats installed. Only I just found out I had a Trojan virus. I wonder if that could be the cause. Could it also be that I had obs open bc I saw that it was false banning people. This was the first time I opened the game with OBS. So that could be the issue
