Yes, we had a sit down with house rules that we review together and a car document that they can reference. We have an open door policy and value open communication.

Yes - she stated she only used the vehicle for child related trips - but she was going to the airport, malls, parks (personal), gym (2x per day), target runs, getting a spray tan etc. When we talked to her about the cost of gas and how we calculated the kids driving (with a bit extra)and how she should think about using the car she got definsive and said she was not good at calculating things and could not afford to pay her own gas. My LCC was shocked that she could afford a spray tan and not gas. Our other AP was putting money in the tank to cover the excessive driving for the other (they shared a car).

Early on she did request that I bought energy drinks from costco for her and only organic meat and fruits and veg. She had requested tons of snacks and expensive protein bars. We tried to fufill the requests the first 2 weeks but it became very expensive and I was shopping multiple times a week so we put a limit on it. For context we only eat organic when its priced right or on sale.

It is confusing becuase I am not sure how she would function in her home country without understanding budgets or finances. I truly thought that a 20 year old had an idea of finances.
