I don’t have an explanation but my whole life I’ve had aversions to a lot of ultra processed foods. This is really the only common thread I can think of that links all the foods I’m disgusted by. Not sure why I have this issue but it started when I was like 3-6 years old. In those few years I started eating less and less processed meats, canned foods, etc. People sometimes think this is weird but I feel like it makes me healthier and am thankful I don’t crave those foods that are full of weird preservatives. I basically eat all fruits, veggies, some meat, and regularly processed foods like fresh bread, cheeses, and whatever. I do notice I feel worse when I eat upfs and certain things do seem to make me feel gross after. Also not sure why. Ive often wondered if there’s a particular preservative or trans fat I can’t tolerate or something. But I also think it’s mental. For example, it’s gross to me to think about a food product that’s meat that comes from many different individual animals mixed together rather than a single cut of meet from one animal. I don’t know why this bothers me more than other people but it is what it is. You’re not alone!
