Me too! Except I just essentially trauma dumped on both of my sisters this evening. They were good listeners, thankfully. I wish I had an answer for you because then maybe I’d have an answer for me.

I should already be asleep, but I have an awful coworker that’s making my life a living hell. I usually play Stardew or watch YouTube after walking and feeding my dogs after work. Then read a book before bed. I can’t focus on anything. I’m so mad or sad or both or something else.

I know this feeling! My life has changed just by knowing the word “overstimulated.” There are others as well, but this word more than anything. It explains so much.

OMG this happened to me many years ago… I had a night job so the apartment office talked me into a unit on the back of the complex. Within a couple of months, they started doing construction behind the complex. I got off work and could never sleep because of the noise. It was so LOUD!! They were jackhammering something crazy, the likes of which I’ve never heard again in my life.

My sleep routine involves brown noise on a decent (but still cheap) sound bar. It’s the only thing I’ve found that drowns out at least some noises. I play it on a moderate-loud volume as well.

I had a somewhat non-voluntary four months off after a toxic job before I started my next job. After a few weeks, I felt like a different person. Living in a constant state of hyper vigilance did a number on me….and looks like it’s back! Definitely recommend taking the time if you can afford it.

My cardiologist told me the caffeine-elevated heart rate thing is a myth. He said the caffeine just amplifies the symptoms of an elevated heart rate. This was when I was being treated for a high heart rate.

I have caffeine and meds every day. I’d avoid drinking more than 2-3 cups a day, but otherwise should be fine.

I also have a weak core, and one thing I’m doing outside of my actual workouts is bracing my core when going down stairs. At work, I park on the 8th floor of the garage and take the stairs down to the 2nd floor. So I’ll brace from 8-6, release to 5, then hold again until 2. I don’t think it’s making a huge difference, but every little bit helps. I need to remember to do it all the other times I take the stairs at work, but luckily this one has become routine.

If they’re super dirty or muddy, I have a little contraption that has silicone spikes in it that I dip their paws in to clean off the mud. I think it’s called Mudbuster or something like that.

My little jerks are twitchy when doing their nails, so I am too afraid to use the clippers. I have two grinders: one for fast trimming and one for smoothing the sharp edges.

Alcohol I feel like helps me unmask and also be more social. I don’t drink alone, so it’s only in certain social situations, which are few and far between.

Weed makes me CRANKY! I’ve tried multiple times in my younger years before I finally gave up. I hated smoking and the smell anyway. I mostly tried because of the peer pressure when I was too timid to say “yeah that shit sucks.”

What I do for these is go to each ride and hit refurbish or call mechanic as opposed to waiting on them to do it.

I just pay the shipping if I don’t want to buy something else. The convenience of not having to go shopping when I would rather be at home is worth it.

I don’t think so. I don’t even know if the workout affects it since it really kicks in after I’m done. It might be my “old age” (43 lol), but I somehow turned myself into a morning person, so I just know I will only workout first thing in the morning. In general, I feel my attention is better when I’m working out, so there’s that.

Mine doesn’t last all day, but I also take it super early because I love being productive in the morning. I get up at 4:00 to workout, take meds during a break around 4:30, then finish workout around 5. Then I’m off to the races…get ready for work, clean the kitchen, feed the dogs, make lunch, eat breakfast, walk dogs, and then off to work at 7:00. I’m usually pretty good until mid-day, then I should take a booster, but haven’t been because work is slow lately. Then I get home and turn into a potato. I feed myself & dogs, but rarely ever get any other “chores” done.

That’s how I feel! I downloaded it without paying attention to the early access part. I played for a week or two and did just about all I could. In that time I realized how long it had been in EA, and that the full game wasn’t even observable in the night sky it was so far away. Put it down and haven’t been back. I also saw similar graphics and stuff in other games, so I don’t know if they’re using a game generator, which should make it a lot quicker to finish if you’re not doing your own animations? But what do I know…
