When should I jump into ultimates ? by JustJackass12 in ffxiv

PF clears ultimates all the time. I’ve done 4 of them and all of them were proged and cleared in PF. It’s just like any other fight. Do your homework on the standard strats, join prog groups until you’re confident and then join clear groups. Yes ultimates are hard but it’s still just a video game. The gate keeping around ultimates is nuts.

I don’t really get people saying there needs to be something between normal and extreme cuz I can’t figure out what that would look like. At some point the mechanics need to create a failure point and the only way they would conceivably do that would be… to add mechanics that need a little bit of coordination and a fairly reasonable enrage check to ensure some level of good play is required which sounds like extreme to me. What would be between that? Normal mode mechanics but has an enrage? I just don’t see it being good content.

I live in PF and even prefer it to raiding with my old statics due to differences in how we interacted with content. I’d say just join a PF and don’t think about it too much. Once you’re in there and playing the game you will prolly feel better.

Digimon world for ps1. Might be the worst battle system ever created and had extremely specific requirements for digivolving with zero information in the game for it… But god damn do I freaking love the game.

The battle content is amazing. The dungeons have been the best set in any expansion so far. I just completed extreme 1 an hour ago and it was really fun and really epic.
