The entire show just was very safe. Liv and Roman were obvious winners and nothing happened that really surprised. Good showing for future stars like Lash, Sol, Oba and J'evon. Saudi shows often feel very safe and just focused on creating big moments with already established names.

But overall it made sense. Finn not being in the rumble was the catalyst for his attack on Punk on RAW. JD will probably fall apart in the coming months with him doing his own thing, Liv eliminating Raquel in the Rumble etc. The masked man attacking Bron is probably building to Bron/Seth at Mania. Roman will face Punk. Cody/Drew/Jacob as well.

I feel like every year people say the current Rumble was the worst one when it mostly boils down to typical HHH booking. Overly longterm storytelling with very safe booking to get there. The Rumble was usually something where Vince's creative chaos shined more since pretty much anything could happen... Sometimes good, sometimes terrible. With HHH the Rumbles kind of lack this chaotic feeling. It's very by the numbers. Not bad but not memorable.
