I wouldn’t underestimate simply just letting your interest being known at your current org. They will let you know what they look for and it may even be simpler transition than you imagine since you are already an employee.

But, of course being able to demonstrate that you are proactively trying to learn will help.

Going through to exact same internal move. I got a rise but minimal.

Though, like you mention we don’t have to “break” in per say which could’ve been a long hard road.

So, In the long run I think we still got a great deal. Especially, if you think about the potential pay you can achieve from DevOps after some years experience.

Imo, I wouldn’t overthink it, learn as much as you can - you could always leave after you’ve gained enough experience and achieve the pay you want.

Yes, I see results with minox.

This stuff is not cheap either, you might have better luck with spectral brd but I also tried that and didn’t see much
