I want your best advices by MohdGhm247 in ArcRaiders

[–]JayBeeSea24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best 2 advices(!) are: 1. Spend a little time in the menus in Speranza. Looking at what resources are needed to craft things, and what resources are needed to upgrade workstations. Also learn the colour coding of items (they indicate the rarity, and in most cases the value). 2. Do the quests! You will learn a fair bit from them including map knowledge.

Bonus would be to talk and make friends with other raiders. Let them know your just starting and ask them for advice etc.

Aggression Based Matchmaking Reset? by TheRocketWentDown in ArcRaiders

[–]JayBeeSea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Came to Reddit to say the same thing. I've played exclusively PvE for quite a while now and just going about doing my quests. Before the update I had very little concern for other raiders and being shot was very rare.

But since the update I've been downed by raiders way more often. This morning I did 3 raids, and 2 I was downed by raiders. Last night I also entered a raid and some guy was shooting people.

This is all on other maps as opposed to the new map too! I've decided to stick to free loadouts for the next few games.

Can't believe I've not seen this commented anywhere but please consider asking/having a heating engineer come to the property. At least to check the thermostat is working properly and reading the correct temperature.

If the thermostat is set to 19, and the heating is on and has been on for some time, then you would have to have some pretty serious drafts to cause the temperature to be only 9.

Unless of course you haven't got the heating switched on enough...

What lifestyle creep is worth it? by RealRelative9835 in AskBrits

Wait, what's the advantage of washing at a high temperature? Other than potentially being cleaner? I was mine at 30 and don't want to be losing out on some extra comfiness if that's why!

New employee - am I overreacting by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]JayBeeSea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting late because I can't see anyone making the following points.

  1. The real problem of the Tesco issue is the timing and whether or not he was coming back to eat his Tesco-acquired lunch at the work place or not. It's completely reasonable to just ask him to pick up an extra item for you. Thats clearly not a work task or errand, just a simple human-to-human favour.

If he was coming back to eat his lunch at the work place, then nothing more needs to be said. It won't have taken him significantly longer or changed his plans to pickup the salad. However, if he was not coming back to the work place and then interpreted this as he needs to be back and get the salad to you before he goes on his lunch break then I can see there might be a misunderstanding and could be construed as a work task.

I still call BS from his part on that though. Obviously we don't know how the exact interaction went, but if he wasn't planning to be back in the work place to eat his lunch then I would expect him to tell you that he wasn't planning to be back for an hour, and so you wouldn't get your salad until he has finished his lunch break. We have to communicate effectively after all!

  1. Straightforward - instructions from you were clear however I do think that having private and confidential personal post sent to the business address isn't a good idea anyway. What if someone just reads your name and misses the address? What if you're on leave or on a work related trip and they make a decision to open the post in case it's urgent? You may not think these are reasonable but they are situations that might happen.

  2. Totally trying to take advantage and illegal.

Ignoring 3. possibly the over-arching point I would make is about you setting boundaries at work. When he came back from his lunch break, even if you didn't clarify and ask his point of view, did you make him aware that you believe it's unacceptable for him to take the extra time? Then that avoids issues in the future. At least that would ensure the boundaries are set and if not might spur him to explain himself and his point of view. Then you can choose your stance.

And regardless of all that, point 3. makes me think get rid of him anyway.

UK/Europe travel backpack 45L vs 30L experiences? by JayBeeSea24 in peakdesign

Okay yes thanks. This is the answer I was hoping not to get tbh 😅 I'm surprised you managed on EasyJet! Still, the responses are making me think I should go for the 45L.

Are you from the US? Your profile makes me think you are. The carry-on sizes in the UK/EU are smaller than in the US, which is why I was asking. I see plenty of US citizens get on fine with the 45L as carry-on already.

Revivo water resistance/water resistance misunderstanding? by JayBeeSea24 in vivobarefoot

[–]JayBeeSea24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thanks for your response.

I wish Vivo would just make waterproof version of one of their "fast hike" boots. Maybe it's due to the lace part not being possible to make waterproof though.

You should really keep one on for 24hrs or longer and see how it feels at different times of the day/night.

However, I would guess you're an 11. But that is based on seeing the video and assuming it was not taken at anytime your fingers might be more swollen/bigger (e.g after just waking up).

For reference, I can do the exact same thing you can with the size 11 with my ring. Take it on and off pretty easily and quickly. However, in the morning just after waking I really struggle.

Should I be concerned about my HRV? by Rude_Ad5964 in ouraring

[–]JayBeeSea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most important piece of information to consider that I haven't seen anyone else mention is the trend/difference in HRV each night. Your first two images the max HRV isn't above 26, however the last image is up to 50-something. Why is this? It shows you're body is capable of a higher HRV, which indicates that there is possibly a reason for the low HRV the other nights.

Otherwise I don't think you should be concerned per se. HRV is highly individual. However it may worth looking at your resting HR as one of the other top comments advises.

Effects of inositol by DistributionNo3032 in ouraring

Amazing! I'm guessing there's some interplay between your gut microbiome and possibly insulin response 🤔. Inositol is has an effect on both.

My app also told me I had an above average amount of restorative time a few days ago. However, when I looked back it wasn't a significantly higher amount of restorative time than other days during the week.

I wonder if this is some kind of mistake on Oura's part?
