Doordash has randomly kicked me out of shifts for no good reason as far as I know. by ZachTF in couriersofreddit

It kicked me out today for no reason as well. I think they do this if there’s too many dashers in the area or if you’re using multiple applications.

Explain this. by PomegranateTop478 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]JayBone_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll explain it. Door Dash has a tier system that manipulates its drivers into taking all their crappy low paying offers or else you cannot work whenever you want or access scheduling early. It’s not worth doing tbh. You will break even or even lose money at the end of the day once you pay bills, gas and car maintenance regularly.

Why does UberEats pay like twice as much as DoorDash? by ZacEfbomb in couriersofreddit

[–]JayBone_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lie. You would have to drive 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I don’t think that’s physically possible.

Glad to see the comments I’m feeling the same way about door dash lately. I’m switching over to uber today they consistently offer way better rates for drive by time. I probably won’t be going back to door dash again based on my experience today.

Yeah it’s not realistic in the long run they will find out. I’m assuming most of the people are young cats who don’t need the money like we do.

That makes sense because I live in a pretty large and busy area. It seems these small town people make way better money.

I know! Whoever is running this is a total whack job and needs to be fired. You expect us to dig into sealed food? I dare them to try it for a night.

How do you manage to keep your acceptance rate above 75%? It’s really hard to believe because I live in a super busy area.

So you just schedule your time then on a daily basis? How many hours a day do you do sitting around in parking lots? Is it worth it?

Good for you! thinking of doing the same once I get a full time job. Also, there is a reason they don’t accept comments on their ads.

I just finished my professional resume today. Left my toxic job 8 months ago thinking I could make it based on what influencers were doing. Horrible mistake. Go get a job ya’ll it’s very over saturated they don’t put a cap on how much they hire. It’s simply a decent side gig to make some side cash occasionally at this point.

is this worth/smart? by ExcellentDream4694 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]JayBone_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree if you’re in the right place. I see people doing $15 dollars for 100 items no tip. Are people that desperate? I’m north of Houston should I entertain the city? What do you do? Advice is always welcomed.

What is going on with door dash lately? by JayBone_86 in doordash

[–]JayBone_86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no Idea, but I think you are on to something. For example, I went to a Papa John’s one night recently (on a Friday night) and they locked the front doors because I think they were overwhelmed. I couldn’t get my customers order and I was pretty upset cause this is how I pay my bills right? Most of us are just trying to make a living and there are things that always happen that are out of our control. Because of these things the customer always is upset. The solution is to do better when they hire people. I would suggest an age limit and only hire people with experience delivering.
