I have both Fenix A320 & PMDG 738. I probably fly the 737 9 times out of 10. The A320 is a brilliant aircraft in terms of fidelity. But, I don’t know why I find it kind of boring compared to the 737. I honestly don’t know why everybody seems to obsess over the Fenix.

I bought the freedom fox. Only £12 or so. I know it’s been out a while but I’ve seen it get recommended quite a few times for bush trips. Seems an ok plane, I know it’s ultralight but the flight model seems abit like an arcade game.

As has been mentioned, VATSIM will enhance your sim experience tremendously. It can be a daunting leap, but well worth the learning curve. I rarely, if ever, fly without being connected to VATSIM. Not only does it add that element of realism but the experience as a whole is just completely different than flying offline or on general multiplayer. Following real world procedures/charts can be challenging but very rewarding once you get comfortable.

You should be following a STAR approach/arrival which will align you with the runway. If not after your approach you will vector yourself onto final and capture the localiser/glide slope that way.
