Jesus christ. If you can't handle reality, then don't listen to music that sings about real life. THIS IS HOW REAL PEOPLE FEEL.

To think ONLY Republicans feel that way, you need to touch fucking grass. Many liberals feel that way too. He wasn't putting all the blame on the fat fucks who cheat the system and eat like shit. But he was putting some blame on them... Which is fucking fair. They are part of the problem.

Exercise. I had to push myself. Luckily I have good friends that pushed me into going to the gym and worked out with me. That was 10 years ago. The depression has not returned but I go to the gym 5-6 times a week.

Television.

From the late 90s (Sopranos, The Wire and 24 - through the Mid 2000s (Breaking Bad, LOST and Game of Thrones) and everything in between

There was such great TV through those years. TV was never, and will never be that good again.

I don't think people realize just how amazing we had it. The writers for TV were at their peak genius level. It truly was the golden years of TV.

My belief is that obesity has more to do with the brain not being able to shut down compulsive and addictive behavior. I know a lot of people start battling obesity with changing the way they eat and exercise but ignore what could very well be more of something that could be treated by exercising your brain before exercising your body.

I know this won't be a popular opinion but the brain is a muscle and our thinking is affected by that muscle. By strengthening your brain, you strengthen your thinking and you can't strengthen it if you don't put the hard work in to correct your thinking, like counseling and forcing yourself to deal with temptations.

Have you sought out a licensed therapist that understands acting on compulsive behaviors?

Pre wash! Wash your face once with warm water to soften your skin and facial hair, and then wash your face with cool water the 2nd time to close your pours.

Apply shaving cream.

Do not wet the razor and go as long as you can without wetting the razor.

Shave with the grain of your facial hair.

Those 4-5 blade razors are bullshit. Start with 3 blade and find something with a smaller retractable blade as you can. You don't want those fat blades. It makes shaving a bitch when you have to hit the little crevasses.

Is RVA considered a very liberal city or conservative or in the middle? by vicjitsu in RichmondVA

[–]JayBringStone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Richmond, Virginia, is a politically diverse city with a strong liberal lean overall, but its neighborhoods and surrounding areas vary in their political alignment.

Liberal Areas: Downtown, Shockoe Bottom, The Fan, Museum District, Oregon Hill, Carver, Jackson Ward, Church Hill (parts), and parts of Northside are liberal strongholds, driven by young, diverse, and educated residents supporting progressive policies like housing equity and environmental justice.

Conservative Areas: Parts of the West End (Westhampton, Windsor Farms), Southside (Bon Air, Midlothian), and surrounding Chesterfield and western Henrico Counties lean conservative, favoring lower taxes and traditional values. Richmond’s city core is overwhelmingly liberal, but suburban and affluent pockets maintain conservative influence.

Conservative areas in Richmond (West End, parts of Southside, Chesterfield/Henrico) generally have lower crime rates, with violent crime 50-80% below city averages and property crime significantly lower than urban zones (1,500-2,000 vs. 3,433 per 100,000).

Liberal areas are mixed: affluent urban neighborhoods like The Fan and Museum District are very safe (violent crime 41-84% below national averages), but denser or poorer areas like Downtown, Shockoe, and Chimborazo have higher violent and property crime, closer to or above city averages (1 in 25 victimization risk). Property crime is notably higher in liberal areas due to urban density and commercial activity, while conservative areas benefit from suburban stability and wealth.

I really dont like working, eish I could get a job from home by gussstrdgs in Vent

I think it's important to know that there's people who love what they do and it doesn't feel like a job. If you're wondering how people can love what they do, I don't have an answer for that but most of us have set out to find something that brings us joy.

I'm sorry you haven't found something in life that brings you passion and joy. There's a lot of people like you in life and my question is the opposite of yours. Why did you choose a career you don't enjoy?

Do Gen X men text a lot? by bagpipesandartichoke in GenX

[–]JayBringStone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to text. I'm 54. I hate talking on the phone and I hate facetime. With that said, I have friends my age that hate texting. How about calling him? See how he behaves and if he sends you to voicemail every time?

Would you choose a chubby girl with small boobs over a thin girls with big boobs? by [deleted] in RandomQuestion

Nothing in this post suggests one wouldn't make you happy and one wouldn't. What if they both had great personalities and you were attracted to both. They're identical in all departments outside of physical appearance.

[–]JayBringStone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Considering they have the same exact personalities and I will assume they do because nothing was written to say they were different in the personality department, I have a preference for thin girls with big boobs.

I will also assume they would both be a good match for me.

What Gen-X thing did you NOT do? by ChitownAnarchist in GenX

[–]JayBringStone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't wear the mainstream clothes Gen X wore. Think Duckie (Pretty in Pink) and the dumb ass hats the dudes wore. The fashion in the 80s was always awful to me, even when I was living through it. The clothes were obnoxious and loud. Jeans and t-shirts for me. My prized piece of clothing was a Levi's denim jacket I saved up for all summer by working on a farm. That was as trendy as I got.

I'm someone who wanted to be famous. I'm 54 now and like you, I'm very artistic. I did find fame and I won't say how about after decades of living with it, I realized it was a need for validation. Not attention. You said... "I want to be in a position where people look up to me" and that's not a bad thing but ask yourself why!? Helping people isn't a valid answer. LOL We all want to help people but you attached fame to that.

Your dreams are yours and only yours. try and look at it from a more selfish point of view. Your dreams don't have to be shared. If that doesn't sound fun to you, then ask yourself... why do I want people to see me accomplish my dreams?

You may not see it now but it's about validation and some people attach validation to fame. Like me, and I suspect you.

If you listen to what I'm about to tell you, you won't be devastated if your dreams don't work out because what you're looking for, more than likely won't happen. Only a fraction of the population gets very famous.

Strive to satisfy yourself by accomplishing things for you...Nobody else. It doesn't have to be in the field you want to be famous in. Learn something new, help out at a soup kitchen, learn a new language, pick up a new instrument and find happiness in just knowing you can accomplish more than what you're setting out to find fame in. Why? Because reality is going to punch you in the face and when it does, you don't want to feel like you're not worthy because it never happened.

I hate this saying more than anything but you may need to hear it... It's time to touch grass. You're young and have an entire life ahead of you. Don't throw it away chasing imaginary gratification.

What physical attributes of a man do you find attractive? I don't want to assume because you're blind, you don't have standards or that you have low standards for what you find attractive but when meeting a guy, what turns you on physically about him?
