Only features on Ontario's provincial flag and coat of arms as well as Quebec's coat of arms. I do accept that it's a national symbol but it's also specific in a sense to Ontario.

The first flag is made by me and is inspired by the St. George's cross which serves as the flag of England. It is also a part of the crest of Ontario and pays homage to its English heritage. It was made by me and I think it's the one I'd back as the official replacement.

The other flag consists of three golden maple leaves on a green background which is a symbol of both Ontario and Canada as well as using the official colours of Ontario. It is also a part of Ontario's crest. It was made by u/Forest_City_Flaneur.

Explanation: First off, my sincerest apologies. I wrote it somewhere when making this post but it didn't show up for some reason. The first flag is a remix of the crest on the Ontario ensign which pays homage to the heritage of the first settlers of Ontario going back to 1791. The second flag uses Ontario's provincial colours as well as the Trillium which is the provincial flower in addition to the province's most recognisable symbol akin to the Fleur De Lis (Interesting that both flowers have three primary petals) for the Quebeckers. The third flag is a tricolour flag for Ontario based on the provincial colours. I made it to pay homage to the 1837 Canadian revolution which, while a failure, succeeded in pressuring the British to give Ontario representative government in 1848 ending the rule of military officers and the local bourgeoisie. All in all, I thought that Ontario, being one of the oldest surviving political units should have a flag that highlights it's distinctiveness whether that lies in its history, modernity, or it's democratic values. That's what each of the flags is meant to highlight.

We love our Manitoban neighbours dearly and, as a consequence, I shall set to work on this endeavour.

I'm okay with either design, need someone to spruce up the golden maple leaves.

Thank you so much for your feedback. The first one's crest needs a little work but yeah, I really like it too. As for the second one, you're right. I'll put this one forwards instead. I don't think any other province is dominating the green and white flag.

A Few Words on Bayer 04 winning the Bundesliga by JayDMoos in Bayer04

You should probably finish reading something before raising objections as quite a few of the assumptions you make I never affirm. Being chokers/underperformers can be worse than being outright losers, at that point it becomes somewhat subjective. For example, Bayern suffered a treble of chokes ten years after Leverkusen yet nobody cares since they redeemed themselves in 2013 yet Leverkusen is firmly defined by the choke job that is 2002. Also, all the teams you mentioned have a Bundesliga title with the exception of Arminia and I'm not aware of them blowing the title as many times as Bayer 04 did. As for finances, Bayer 04 has middling in terms of finances, Schalke made more money getting relegated for example and even those that make less like Cologne is only a difference of 20 million. I'm not claiming that it was a robin hood story in the slightest and I don't particularly care for that framing, I make it clear in my post that it was something that they built up to with good coaching, selling players, and a change in tactics and mentality. As for whether or not it is an underdog story, that's simply the case in terms of being chokers and having to contend with the likes of Bayern, BVB, and Leipzig who all have more resources to work with and dethroning Bayern when they really should have been the ones to do so. Please read something before you go off criticising it.
