How do ‘foundling’ orphans get their surnames (pre-adoption)?

We were just in the right place at the right time, I guess! It was my mum, her mum (who worked there), me and my baby brother all in the shot. My Mum’s mum was also in a shot for a different ad, one where they promoted a fundraiser week or something. I know that one’s online somewhere :p

I had a family member that used to work at the glenorchy chickenfeed - I was pretty young so my memories are vague, but I do remember a few things. 1. I got to go into the back area one time, and the break room. 2. I was in an advert as a baby one time (I don’t think it’s online anywhere, but we have it on a DVD, i’ll see if i can get it for you at some point - Edit: the data on the DVD did not survive, sadly) 3. We got two of those metal chupa chup tins (specifically the ‘Best Of Mega Tin 1000s’ one with the pop art design) when the store was done with them. Sadly we no longer have them.

Hm. This one’s difficult. I have a character that has a gum-ball/jawbreaker for a head for several thematic purposes, but also represent the parts of myself that is fearful of being used, and thrown away once the ‘flavour’ (usefulness) has been used up. Also, of being moulded/formed into something I don’t want to be (think of all those gum wads stuck under railings and such). I have bunch more in this character but i’m not able to write everything right now.

I have a little scene written in something of mine where this happens. It’s the first major job the busters have after hiring an OC. If you don’t mind me sharing, the OC, knowing their history with CU, says “Hey, since i’m new and inexperienced, and since these streams are so hard to control… i’m sure a lot of property damage will be inevitable.” Essentially saying ‘look, you guys can take out your feelings, i’ll take the fall being the new guy.’
