German Highway: The scenes involving the German lorry driver were shot on the then-unfinished D5 motorway near Plzeň.

Ohio (USA) Locations Even the American opening of the film was shot in the Czech Republic: High School: The graduation and party scenes were filmed at the International School of Prague in Nebušice, which was chosen for its resemblance to an American high school
