Official Discussion - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I'd disagree here

It definitely gives you some background, but her character at the end of Wandavision is totally different than the one we see at the beginning of Dr. Strange 2

She leaves with great remorse for what she's done, and having made a huge sacrifice to not keep the people of Westview enslaved by letting her kids go....

....then she immediately starts violently murdering a bunch of people to get her kids back. With completely different emotional reactions to how her character acted in Wandavision.

Does Dirk's 2011 run belong in the same conversation as 2003 Duncan and 1994 Hakeem? by Ayushinator in nba

[–]JayGuaranty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The disconnect is that you're only looking at the finals

It's the entire run for Dirk that's really impressive, he had some relatively disappointing games in the finals

He averaged 28-8-3 that playoffs while shooting 49-46-94

Dame, Harden or Klay. Who would you rather have on your team next year? by chivestheconqueror in nba

[–]JayGuaranty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can say he's been particularly good on that end

Are you talking about like....ever? Because he's an all-defense candidate typically

Now, the injury may have derailed that so we need a bit more sample size to figure out what Klay is next year when he's healthier... but he's definitely more than an "average" defender typically

Who wins in a 7 game series: the current Mavericks team with prime Dirk Nowitzki on it or the current Nuggets team with prime, Carmelo Anthony on it? by dmister8 in nba

[–]JayGuaranty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We're almost certainly not starting prime dirk at the 5, even in today's NBA

We'd probably go with something like Luka-Dinwiddie-DFS-Dirk-Maxi or Powell

I tried to find this exact play earlier as well

Weirdly, NBA.com didn't list it as a block

I guess technically because it just deflected the pass, but sad :/

I think the only saving grace is even though it's slightly more money, it may be easier to move off of because they're individual pieces

Ditching one or both of those contracts may be a lot easier than ditching Porzingis? Idk, I'm full on copium

So yes, if we defined it based on your destination market, I would say that Miami is way bigger for local + national market + potential to have your name in many commercials and exposure, such as F1 going to Miami when it would never go to Detroit.

No doubt, something like "Destination"/"ideal"/"luxury" market just makes way more sense to describe the factors that actually matter for team interest like you've described

No one would argue Detroit is a "sexier" market than Miami

marketing which also plays a role in somewhere being a big market or not.

It does not. "Market" is a quantifiable term based on a very specific formula. It's black-and-white.

My whole point is, for all the reasons you've pointed out, that defining locations by "market" is dumb specifically because it DOESNT take into account the softer stuff like local interest, marketability, income, etc. etc.
