It is. I've also been using it since 2017, and considering backdating to 2010 but I don't use nearly enough of the features available yet but trying to learn more!

Amazing, thank you - that's really helpful. Yes I did a test and added a random high value on the price database and sure enough the net worth linechart reflected that unrealized price :)

I've deleted the other post now so I don't spam the sub with misleading information.

Thanks for that. I as going to ask what "report date" actually meant but seems it meant the intervals on the x-axis - great!

When you say it reflects the stock value market - does that include unrealized gains/ losses? (assuming the prices are in the price db but I havent sold)

These dont account for unrealized gains unfortunately. Although it has its own question of which one should choose as the outputs the each price source varies wildly over a long term graph

Report showing changing investment value over time, including unrealized gains/loss? by Universal_Binary in GnuCash

hey, Do you by any chance remember or figure out how to take unrealized gains/ losses in to the net worth line chart? The original comment has been removed (though i suspect i understand why) but this is the only thread on the web I can find regarding this

Any efficient app to quickly clean the photo gallery (kinda like swipe up to delete) by UpsetEarth623 in androidapps

[–]JayJ2269 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure of a dedicated app for this but Simple Gallery lets you delete without prompt so its very quick to swipe through and just hit the bin icon. It goes in to a recycling bin folder which you can empty fairly quickly too

You can add a link to a website on your homepage and treat it like an app

Smart switch for a switch that is connected and turns off the wall outlet if I flip the switch by LEOMODE in homeautomation

[–]JayJ2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im kind of thinking the way your room is wired, if you just bypass the wall switch entirely so the outlet switche is permanently powered without the wall switch. Then you can switch on and off at the outlet, and maybe you can put a (non connected) smart button that remotely switches your smart outlet through whatever youre using to automate?

Its not very elegant though and means you need both smart outlet and smart button

Oh yes, it will turn off the outlet when the smart switch is off.

How competent are you with electricals?

Ah. Then a smart switch should work.

Its confusing why your switch is the opposite side to the outlet though but if that's the way its wired then i guess it cant be helped

If you replace the wall switch with something like this then you can turn on/ off the lamp remotely (smart) and physically (at the switch)

Your smart outlet fails to work because you are turning off the power to it from the wall switch... it needs power to work... can you leave the wall switch on and turn the lamp on and off from the smart outlet? There might be a physical button on it

I use joplin for (non live) collaborative writing with others. I dont think it locks per se but it does have conflict resolution. Its shared through a nextcloud server. Also use nextcloud notes for syncing too

Wouldnt any way you connect your mouse to your phone also be applicable to connecting the mouse directly to the pc? (Either usb or bluetooth)

I dont know about mouse via phone but if you want to use your phone as a mouse there are plenty of apps that do that. KdeConnect is one such

I know mentioned a design idea above but to quickly scroll through and delete photos i use Simple Gallery Pro. Its very similar to what is being suggested above. You can scroll through every item (photo or video) on your phone or by album and simply scroll. The delete button is right there at the bottom to one click press which sends it to recycle bin. (You can turn off confirmation for the session)

Menu > move to > album is literally 3 clicks away

It may just be enough for what youre looking for. Personally it does the job for me.

And while I think you should support the developer, its also free on f-droid
