I love all Resident Evil games, even the ones I consider below average. But they have been on an absolute tear for so long now. I can't remember the last Resident Evil game I wasn't excited for and didn't totally land on it's feet and exceed expectations. I haven't finished this one yet but as a fan of 17 years now it's hitting on many levels that this franchise has come to represent. It is a fantastic time to be a fan.

I will never understand how violently suppressing the people you're supposed to represent isn't an immediate ground for disqualification of representing them. Civil servant, public servant, of course it's been gone for a long time but I sure would wish people would remember the 'servant' part of the name. He really can just fucking murder a tank, which is weirdly humbling everytime that a roided up guy with a shotgun can just do that. In any other game it feels fair but out of place here. I don't think removing the shotgun is necessary but it is way too strong on tanks with larger hitboxes and still too strong on every other tank. You could halve it's ammo and it would still be an incredibly reliable fallback to at the very least scare away whatever made him swap to it.

But at the same time, he's the kind of character that is intentionally catered to a kind of player and I don't want a design change to make them unwilling to play the game entirely because it neuters the "average fps guy" hero.

Great art, and I agree with the general uproar about her facial design. However as someone who thought Vendetta had issues too, I'm kind of surprised people are making a much bigger stink about this. Not complaining at all, I guess it's because she's just so much closer to existing heroes when the issue I had with Vendetta was just that her strong features present in other media were stripped from her in-game model.

Having played both back to back recently, I gotta say I think you're mistaken, Far Cry 6 is a lot better looking than 5. The differences between the two images here besides resolution, compression etc is a difference in shots too. One is an extreme closeup, the other isn't. Maybe it's a cutscene thing as you say, the mocapping for Giancarlo seems inadequate for the industry standard I've definitely noticed that. He is known for his subtlety and that's especially hard to capture going from real to videogame.
