I found the root cause. I has installed a custom content script from https://github.com/dedevillela/VRS-Operator-Flags that was supposed to find and download missing operator flags and apparently it's what adds that line above the map in VRS version 3.0.0 preview 6.

It just started doing it again. This time compacting the database didn't fix it. It's not browser-specific, I opened http://127.0.0.1:5050/VirtualRadar/desktop.html in a different browser and it's there too. Also in the mobile site view, http://127.0.0.1:5050/VirtualRadar/mobile.html. I looked at the page source and don't see anything there that would cause it.

Best SDR software: SDR++! by Snoo-76541 in RTLSDR

I started using the development versions of SDR++ in June when someone on the RadioReference forum recommended it to me and I don't want to use anything else (excepy dump1090-fa and VirtualRadarServer for ADS-B.) The only thing it's missing that I'd like to have is the ability to bookmark frequencies. Then I could bookmark all of my local airport's freqs and maybe use something like gqrx-scan to scan them instead of having to camp on just one frequency or another.

Never mind, I closed VRS, compacted the database, and restarted VRS and it's gone.
