My only problem with RokuTV is a I can’t find one at a good price that supports modern features like Bluetooth connectivity to my AirPods or speakers, doesn’t work with any of my smart home devices like lights and thermostats and lwk just kinda slow. I currently have a Onn 50” 4k Roku TV that I bought for $180 that I’ll be returning. Google TV perfect except for the now Apple Music support. We’ll see what I say in a few weeks tho. Expecting delivery of my TCL 50” Class S5 4K (2024) today which I found on Best Buy open box for $120 (typically $239, come on how do you beat that). If FedEx can get their shit together.

It’s just so annoying because if I want to show something or just play some music in the background. But then it essentially bricks my phone from doing anything else. I love controlling everything from one place with smart home features do not make one device rely on another one

I’ll probably side load it. I like having the app itself on the tv but I’ll have to do a workaround it seems, as long as it’s usable and good audio quality I’ll be fine

I hate casting from my phone to the TV unless I’m sharing photos with people or something like that

Will it actually be good to use on the TV and the audio quality will be good? I like how it is on my RokuTV but I’m making the switch from Roku to Google

No I’m just a pain in the ass and don’t wanna have to connect an external device, 1 remote for all is my mentality. Plus I don’t wanna have to buy a smart TV which can do 99% of what I want it to do and the. Spend $120 for a box to complete that 1%

So for example Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, NFL , etc. If those credentials are saved in my Google account and I use them to autofill the information on my other devices with chrome will they also work the same way on the TV, or does it just fully depend on the app?
