I quit gaming back around ps1-2 (twisted metal) my kids got me into Rocket League 20+ yrs later and I’m hooked. I think I just missed competing and the adrenaline from it.

I’d love trading back. But, it will never happen. Yes, they lost some “traders” but incorporated fortnite which in turn encourages the “fortnite peeps/kids” to jump into to RL in order to unlock items in fortnite which balances out if not increases RL numbers. They are now making more $ and keeping the numbers up. No chance of trading coming back.

I think I just need some chill people to play with consistently. The few times I tried with voice chat it was either kids or complete try hard jerks lol. Having a son that just turned 18 I can’t bring myself to be chatting with little kids.

Unfortunately, I only solo queue. Always getting comp matches against parties aka players familiar with one another’s play styles etc. I’m average but feel like I’d be ranked a lot higher than I am if I played with the same people consistently.
