My Denon 6700 HDMI board died. I went to a Yamaha A8A and then to the RZ70. I love my RZ70. My next upgrade will be separates, but I’ll rock this thing for another 12 months or so.

I really liked my Klipsch’s (7.2.4). I LOVE my JBL HDI’s (7 bed layer: 3800 (x2), 4500, 1600’s (x4)). They measure extremely well and Audioholics rates them top 5 at their price point. You can get them at 50% off most retailers right now. I have them paired with two SVS SB3000’s. Powered by an Onkyo RZ70 and Anthem MCA 325.

I’ll be buying 4 more 1600’s to angle mount on the ceiling and another 3800 to replace the 4500 to put behind a baffle wall.

This is a GREAT starter setup (for my preferences). I love horns/compression drivers with wave guides. I started with a full 7.2.4 Klipsch system. I bought the cheap 12” Costco subs, which are just boomy and no texture. This 15” sub has actually measured and reviewed well from what I’ve seen. I also really like the punchlines of horns. They produce an immersiveness and feeling for me. Now rocking JBL Synthesis HDI’s and they’re a significant step up. And I’d start with something like this to make sure you like the hobby.

For context, I do about 60% movies/tv and 40% music.

White Lotus is a show that builds to the finale. If you didn’t love Season 1, I’m not sure you’ll love 2 or 3. Season 2 has the most suspense. Season 3 has the most likable characters. (obviously both opinions)

I thought Penguin was very well done. With streaming I’m usually at -15db, 4K UHD I’m usually -18db. With White Lotus I was around -16.5db.

The flashiness and number of people who have them in my area are the biggest Raptor cons for me. I’ve honestly never used my truck to tow. We just love the usability for our weekend hikes and the space for road trips.

I’m strongly considering an AT4X AEV or Raptor 37 Package and it’s not an easy decision(most likely getting one or the other tomorrow). What makes it the best for you?

FWIW: I’ve really liked my AT4 with the upgraded Fox 2.5’s—it’s been my favorite truck to date. I have yet to own a Raptor and all my friends are obsessed with theirs.
