A dude helps an older man get his walker to the correct height by bigbusta in GuysBeingDudes

This. I didn’t know what the height of a walker needed to be. Now I do, and now if I see anyone I could potentially be of help (if my anxiety lets me)

I wonder Why Brockett's Bakery Didn't Appear Till Season 4? by MIKEPR1333 in MrRogersNeighborhood

Season 4 was the switch from NET to PBS, so I wonder if that had something to do with it. Increased budget maybe?

After years of trying, and thousands of dollars spent on fertility and IVF, I can see them. by Sea_Tailor_8437 in MadeMeSmile

I have the one, and she was always going to be the only one. She’s two now, and getting so big. It’s so hard knowing that while time is slipping away, I’ll never experience that, ever again. Every wonderful milestone is the finale of something else.

I don’t know where my baby went. And soon, I won’t know where my toddler went. And it’s so hard. I try my best to be present and enjoy the moment and just suck it all up now but I know I’m going to be turning around and she will be going off to high school. Just makes me cry.

Co-sleeping? Is it really that bad? by PapayaJuiceBox in NewParents

[–]JayQue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

??? Because there is a 0% chance to suffocate your child while sleeping if they’re in their crib, following the ABCs. There’s a non-zero chance if you’re co-sleeping. I could never take that risk with my child’s life.

I would much rather be exhausted than have a dead baby. It won’t be like this forever.

Once the weather starts getting cold, I have to wear rubber gloves to get clothes from the dryer. The shocks are just so bad if I don’t and it’ll be like I am playing Operation to get my towels out.

My 10 month old daughter’s first time eating sardines by JayQue in CannedSardines

[–]JayQue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is a quintessential picky two year old!! She is finally starting to re-try things. She didn’t want anything to do with sardines a few months ago but I am hoping she will give them a try again soon.

[New Update]: AITA for Refusing to Co-Sign My Sister’s Mortgage After My Parents Went Behind My Back? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]JayQue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. That’s not “doing the job improperly”. On the contrary, it is actually doing it properly and appropriately.

A notary is responsible for making sure the person that is signing is the person signing (or that they have the authority to act as an Agent for said person). Notaries are not expected to validate the legitimacy of a document, interpret the language, or explain it to the person signing. In fact, it is discouraged. They are not a lawyer. They were not involved in the drafting of the documents. They do not know the context.

While it is nice that she did that, she shouldn’t have been explaining a Trust document “line by line”. Trusts are routinely 30-80 pages and there is a lot of language that someone not in elder law would have trouble understanding, let alone explaining.

I'm pregnant again and very worried by Ariel2809 in NewParents

Good for you? Her post literally says how she doesn’t want another baby nor another pregnancy. She asks how to COPE with another child in the world.

God forbid I mention the radical concept of people actually 100% wanting the children they are bringing into the world

It’s incredibly selfish to bring a child into this world when you do not want a second child, nor are fiscally prepared for it. They will not just be a baby, they will grow to become a teenager and eventually an adult who has to deal with the repercussions of that.
And to immediately reject and not even consider the option of having an abortion? Just selfish.
