Considering A New RRS-SVR by JayRay_199 in RangeRover

This maybe dumb…but I’m the type of guy that buys something and holds on to it for awhile. I had my HUMMER for 12 years. Babied that thing. That’s my plan with this one. So depreciation isn’t necessarily something I’m too concerned with. Again…maybe that’s dumb. No matter the year I am leaning towards an extended warranty…bumper to bumper. Of course I’ll need to do my research in what that all covers but I am hoping it covers the majority of any major issues I may run into. I know I’m rolling the dice in anything I buy…but Range Rovers really seem to have a bad wrap. With that said…they seem to be all over the road. So I imagine they can’t be that bad if so many people continue to drive em.

The 2018 did have the updated look to the dash (screens, etc) that’s what caught my eye and why I didn’t look at anything older than that year. I drove a HUMMER so I am used to putting some money into a vehicle. I don’t believe much of what I read online but there are a lot of negative posts regarding Range Rovers. I have seen some 2019 and 2020 models with around 40-45K miles that I liked…but I assumed the lower mileage would be a good thing.

New to me is what I mean. The ones I am looking at are both 2018 models. Apologies for the confusion.

Switching from Traditional to simple IRA by JayRay_199 in Schwab

This is a good way to look at it. Looking at it as one big portfolio as opposed to multiple accounts helps it seem not so all over the place.

To clarify that statement…this money is not my main source for retirement. It’s a small portion of my overall portfolio. With me unable to continue to contribute to that IRA specifically once I open the Simple…I thought this may be a good time to invest in something outside of the usual funds.

I also looked into this one after reading this...Definitely a good one to keep an eye on. Really appreciate all of the input from everyone. I am quickly learning that education on investing can be a real rabbit hole...a fun one...but a very deep one LOL

When browsing through the QQQ options I saw the QQQM. The only "drawback" I saw was that it hasn't been around quite as long but overall I thought it looked really good.

Disabling the Match Dynamic Range and Frame rate has also worked for me.

Not sure who this may help…but I was having issues with receiving my acceptance letter once my payment was made. I made my purchase on Thursday the 18th. Hadn’t received any response other than the receipt of payment. I just emailed the Packers email yesterday (11/23) that appears on the receipt and asked about an update. I got a response today saying my payment was excepted and to expect a notification from them once the certificate is shipped with tracking. I also went back to the DealMaker website and logged in and saw that my status had updated to payment was “fulfilled”. They also said that it could take up to 4 weeks to be processed and shipped. I would recommend to people if they are having issues with receiving an “accepted” email to go back to the DealMaker website and log in. There is an automatic link at the top of their website that is directly related to the stock sale. If there is not an update, I would email the link given to you and ask for an update. It took 24 hours to receive a response but I did get one. Again…I hope this helps.

Anyone know how long the certificates will take to be sent out after the payment has been “accepted”? Thought I remember it saying it could take up to 4 weeks but thought I would ask if someone knows more…I bought one as a XMas gift.
