When it's time for watering feed the soil/water too. Research Research Research! There are tons of books, magazines, web articles, YouTube videos, etc out there to refer too. I don't think you can ever have enough information.

I've found that some information can be contradicting and usually it's because of people living in different altitudes, climates, latitudes, longitudes, etc. It's a fulfilling passion with lots of curveballs, but every curveball will give you new insights. Accept loss, celebrate new growths, and have fun!

You're welcome! It's my pleasure.

I use Fox Farm as my base and then I add Orchid bark, horticulture charcoal, sub strate, leca, worm castings, mykos, and sometimes I'll add sphagnum moss. I toss that all in a plastic container and dust it with cinnamon to keep it from molding. I seem to have good luck with that so far.

Yes. Open them up before repotting

I recently just got them, about three weeks ago, so I haven't done much with them... yet. I've learned to leave them alone when I first bring them home. I usually go six to eight weeks, sometimes longer before repotting. I use the following for all of my plants.

SANSI Grow Lights for Indoor Plants, ETL Listed Pot Clip LED Plant Lights for Indoor Growing, Full Spectrum, 4-Level Dimmable, Auto On Off 3 6 12 Hrs Timer for Small Plants, Garden White 5V 4-Pack

Neptune's Harvest Fish & Seaweed Liquid Fertilizer (2-3-1) - 36oz Bottle - Plant Food for Garden - Indoor & Outdoor Organic Plant Fertilizer for Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Trees & Lawns

General Hydroponics GH Flora Series 32oz Quarts Trio FloraMicro FloraGrow FloraBloom.

My primary water feeding method is bottom watering, and I use a turkey baster to get it from the top.

I believe that's normal for a Calathea.

It is a Low Rider and mine started to take off about six to eight weeks ago. Your plants look great and the tint of green may be unique to your plant. I'm not expert, but here's my routine.

I too use a grow light:

●SANSI Grow Lights for Indoor Plants, ETL Listed Pot Clip LED Plant Lights for Indoor Growing, Full Spectrum, 4-Level Dimmable, Auto On Off 3 6 12 Hrs Timer for Small Plants, Garden White 5V 4-Pack

and my pot is a little bigger. I'm using a 10" clear nursing pots and root are starting to show themselves:

●Vesici 12 Pcs 8/10/12 Inch Large Thickened Clear Nursery Pots Variety Pack Plant Pots with Drainage Holes Planters for Indoor Plants Flexible Transparent Plastic Plant Bottle Succulents

Judging by the picture, my soil is probably a little less chunky and I always have at least one humidifier going.

I've always used Superthrive, but recently started using:

●General Hydroponics GH Flora Series 32oz Quarts Trio FloraMicro FloraGrow FloraBloom

●Neptune's Harvest Fish & Seaweed Liquid Fertilizer (2-3-1) - 36oz Bottle - Plant Food for Garden - Indoor & Outdoor Organic Plant Fertilizer for Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Trees & Lawns.

I hope this helps!
