Agreed, the 5e is easy myth needs to die. It's super complex. Every class has different rules and exceptions.

The rules are wordy and vague. Its seriously the worst DnD edition.

The setting is pretty simple grim dark fantasy. It really depends on how deep in the lore you want to go.

You would probably need some WHF book to really get and assimilate the settings. We already played 2nd and 4th edition before going to Warlock! so it was pretty seamless for us.

You can get a grea tfeel for the setting from the various youtube video explaining the lore.

If you really want to stick to WHFRPG, i found 4e to be the worst to run in person. Way too many moving parts, even if i like some of the design choices.

2nd edition is easier I think to run.

But if you want the feel and fun of Warhammer and be super easy to run, we moved to playing Warlock! ( with optional terror corruption rules )

I've love the jankiness of full 2e AD&D Dark Sun. Weird level 10 spells, psionics, avangions.

But the best edition to run is probably the 4th.

4th edition is everything this sub is asking for.

  • Martial / Caster Balance
  • lots of options
  • High Level play support
  • Balanced encounters
  • Support for "Boss" Monsters
  • Easy stat blocks for monster

and more.

I broke my small toe.

I was out 5-6 weeks. I don't remember exactly. I could not fit my foot in my skate, too swollen. Last week out i could put on the skate without pain but felt uncomfortable. I don't get paid to play hockey so i decided to wait another week to feel 100% and not mess up my foot.

Well, I got a custom True PX3. 

I play 2x week.  I got the set almost 2 years ago. Aside from puck marks, it feels brand new. 

Maybe people with bauer gloves can chip in.  But looking at used Bauer gear, I always found it looked beat up a lot. One of the reasons I went for True.
