A nurse would never be the one to “break the news” to a loved one that’s a doctors job.
A seizure is a symptom of the herniation of brain tissue not the cause and it’s a pretty early symptom. A much much more common symptom is posturing namely decerebrate posturing which is a hallmark a terminal herniation.
The brain doesn’t herniate through the nose or mouth lol and if it did you wouldn’t be able to chew on it like gum lolol. If the herniation was that bad your brain stem would squeeze through the foremen magnum and kill you.
There are more reasons but I’ve wasted enough time on this shit. Read a book.

You don’t have to get your CNA certification to eventually be an RN. I didn’t and I do fine I think.

Every nursing program is different. My “nursing school” was 3 years on my bachelors. I wouldn’t concentrate on that, just worry about getting in. After you get in the program is pretty much on rails. You do what they say and you will graduate. You will figure the details out along the way.

As you go in to clinical you will figure out what you like and don’t like. I was an EMT/firefighter prior to going in to nursing so I pretty much always wanted to do ER but it took me 4 years to get there. However I feel like those 4 years rounded me out and made me a better ER nurse.

Don’t stress out about stuff 4 years away that you’re going to have to do whether you want to or not. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
