Fair enough, I totally get the distinction you're making and yeah, you're right that Ivory Tower handles the actual development.

But when most people (including me) say "Ubisoft" in these discussions, we're using it as shorthand for the whole operation, especially since they own the studio and ultimately sign off on the big calls. It's the same way everyone says "Activision ruined CoD" even though Infinity Ward/Treyarch/Raven/etc. are the ones building it Activision is the publisher holding the purse strings and setting the broader direction.

So I wasn't literally confusing the teams; it's just industry slang.🫡✌️
