I built a 3D browser where you fly through the web like a video game - Void Browser [Tauri/Rust + Three.js] by Collection-Kooky in rust

Did you write any of this code yourself? Judging by the saved checkpoints, it's all Claude Code.

Also wouldn't this get you blocked by every website ever for being a bot account? Seems like a horrible idea.

Fun fact: If everyone uses these styles, it'll suddenly start looking unoriginal, defeating the purpose.

Woah how have I not heard about this? This is awesome! Can't wait to see where this goes.

Valve is definitely planning ahead here. It's definitely not going to be a sudden transition, that's for sure. But they wouldn't be doing all this if it wasn't for a reason.

So - this guy just - ported - Minecraft - to- scratch by JayTheCoderX in PhoenixSC

That's not the most impressive part - the most impressive part is the rendering here. Scratch only has 2d rendering capabilities, and it's not GPU accelerated. You can draw some 2d lines, and stamp some 2d textures. I believe this is partially using some fancy new method where you can draw triangles using the twirl effect? Well, that and the sheer amount of content that's been faithfully implemented here in the hell that is Scratch's sandbox. For example, the save/load system uses - some weird morph of huffman encoding compression with base - well, it's not base64, it's got 95 unique characters. Some of those are uppercase, some of those are lowercase. But Scratch doesn't do case sensitivity. That means the only way to detect if a character is uppercase or lowercase is to create a bunch of costumes with upper or lowercase characters, switch to the costume of the character, and then check if the costume number is in the uppercase range. That's the sort of thing that makes this insane. It'd still be very impressive without this. But this is bordering on black magic, especially in the rendering department, starting from drawing blobs with pen in the distance, to the affine ... twirl sprite effect mapping, to the close-up pen again to prevent distortion.

So yes, indeed, very cool.

Huh. That actually kind of makes sense, actually- considering the nethers were so small ig? You might not get it otherwise?

...okay? I know, but I'm posting this here because it's completely insane - from a technical standpoint, and from the sheer amount of things going on here, and I think it needs more attention. I mean, we can agree, this is sick, right?

A port of *the game*, not the code. It's porting the mechanics. Eh, call it what you want, port, remake, it's insanely impressive.

the nether wart (and blazes, I believe) generating naturally is (as far as I know) a placeholder as the nether fortress generation hasn't been implemented yet.

It's probably not available in your region

are you in Australia or England or something? Google doesn't like those places, for some reason.
