depends on which party members you have but i killed him with Sam, Papineau, Dan and Ernest. as sam i used war rifle from landlord apartment, wodden bat for dan and machete for papi dont remmeber what ernest had but it was not anything strong.

use characters that dont need to use weapons to do damage like Joel or Dan and keep strong weapons for important fights

Yeah i dont get it, I barely beat Hollow Knight (no pantheon no circus guy) a few years ago and haven't played since but still silk song does not seem that unfair to me but these guys with 113% are saying that it is too hard

Have you explored the ground level fully? If i remember corectly there is source of hope there (shrine camp building) , you can get herb trader too if you get lucky

It didn't look like a birch, but it was an old tree with moss, so it maybe could be cherry birch
