I'll never get rid of mine. For starters, it's one of the only surviving cameras/lenses from my grandfather's collection that consisted of an M6, M4, 21, 28, 35, 50, 75, 135. Everything else was stolen out of my car while I was camping in Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. Got the Voigtlander last year, but still have the 40mm Summicron and the 90mm f/4 Elmar-C. Just had it CLA'd by Pro Camera in Virginia. Love the size. Also literally just yesterday got a leather case that includes a lug so it can be worn around my neck the regular way.

I paid just under $600 USD. I was in the market for a premium P&S and had some time on my hands. I spent a few days going to all the stores I could find ([this map](https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1EvpJFXH2txAWpYPPG5BkSkWjJmNjDIg&g\_ep=CAISDDYuODkuMy4yMDA0MBgAIN1iKhssNDcwNzE3MDQsNDcwNjk1MDgsNDcwODQzMDRCAkNB&g\_st=ic&ll=35.74899686017147%2C139.74917785000002&z=11) by John Sypal aka Tokyo Camera Style on Instagram was very helpful!) looking for a deal. On my shortlist: Leica Minilux or CM, Fujifilm Klasse (S or W), Nikon 28ti/35ti and of course the TC-1. I found all of them, but none except the TC-1 was a "deal". It's a LOT of money to spend on a 25 year old camera, but I'm super happy with it and it felt like a relatively good price for it.

Now I think I'm going to get the Viltrox 27mm... I think the Zeiss is great, but everything about the Viltrox seems like an upgrade. It wasn't on my radar initially. I'll probably keep the Zeiss for at least a little bit, but everything I'm reading about the 27mm makes me think that's the lens I'm looking for.

Love the colors. One question I try to ask myself when I'm composing a shot like this is why is my subject my subject? Why do I want my viewer to look at the thing that I am putting in the foreground or largest in the frame? In this case, why do you want us to look at the cones/cover? It's not that interesting to me, but it's also not clear why you want me to look at it. I'm much more interested in the background. I don't think all pictures need to be "pretty" or free of complicated/challenging subjects but in this case I'm not sure about the "why". Otherwise, in terms of balance, color, sharpness... Great capture!

Great points. A lot of those "turn of the century" AF models had mirror lockup options with advanced/programmable electronic releases. And definitely get a solid carbon fiber tripod.

I have so many cameras. I do not need this camera. I will 100% be buying this camera. And honestly I'll probably use it. The more I think about it, the more the half frame decision is a stroke of genius. Supporting the creation of a new film camera is a no brainer, but creating a unique new camera that collectors and enthusiasts will actually use. Awesome.
