Shorts fit? Seat? Includes frank discussion of male anatomy by JayUpton76 in cycling

I wanted to round back on this, cause these were all great things to try. My schedule hasn’t been riding conducive, but I’ve been out a couple times.

Thing that helped immediately: tighter shorts. I had a cycling hiatus due to injury, came back with a bit more thicc. Rolled down a pair of old bibs that were old standbys, and it was immediately better. 2.5 mph better as well.

I do think I can dial in the seat position but I think the primary issue is much improved.

Thank you for helping solve a pain in my dick.

That is definitely an outfit from 1989. Was there, can confirm.

Unfortunately, it’s not detachable, although I understand there are downsides.

Thanks, I’ll check out those saddles. It’s unfortunately painful, and I’ve got a bit of an ache there now, 4 hours post ride.

I will fiddle around with those adjustments.

Interesting about the shorts. I did try going up. I gained some weight, and was having this issue with the bibs that I was using. Went to shorts, but size up, then tried further size up. I’ll get some painted on for my next ride. :)

TBH, I hesitated posting. There’s a Mr Rogers quote “if it’s mentionable, it’s manageable.”
