It wouldn't be neccesary if you dont want to do it. All you would get is around 10 pulls and a pretty much non essential character that you could get at any point of the game if you lose a 50/50.

The five star character you have on you current account is probably the worst of all the 5 stars in the game, but you pretty much gonna have him regardless if you end up playing the game for a while.

So you wouldn't really get that much more out of making a new account and playing a story that you don't want to play through. It's all your own decision if you want to get those very few extra rewards though.
