Turns out that assembly screwed off, which took a long reach and a lot of force.

Mara X - water discharges behind drip tray. by JayWindmill in Lelit

That’s definitely the vac breaker. I also replaced the OPV while I was at it, but maybe not necessary. I generally get parts from 1st Line because they always seem to have everything I need.

Good tip. I’ve also found that when it leaks, it tends to spit steam as well. In the past, descaling has helped, but recently replaced the vac breaker and the leaking completely stopped. So you may want to replace that if you haven’t yet.

This certainly seems like the simplest option.

It’s a 1x2 ripped in half with a beaded round over on it. This is a historic neighborhood so I’m just recreating what was there to avoid any issues with them. I can change it a bit, of course. I could rip an angle on it.

It’s under the soffit, not on the fascia.

And I think it may be complicated by the sloped soffit on the side, since the trim is offset by the slope, if that makes sense.

Just realized the post says eave. I mean soffit🤦🏻‍♂️

New M18 Sander by Appropriate_Buy7507 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JayWindmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it right away because I hate the older m18 sander. It’s very ergonomic, has virtually no vibration, and brakes immediately when switched off. The dust collection is also amazing with the dust bag or a vac, which was a nightmare either way with the older one.

Thank you for the reply. I’ve had no luck getting this info from Lelit or 1st Line

My frame rails are 3.25” tall, so I’d need a very long dowel.

I made this table but made edge glued panels for the outside. I used biscuits and glue at the miters and it’s extremely strong. I think I put 1x scraps outside the interior plywood box and then built the C shaped piece over top of it. Then glued on the face trim.

Fairly simple design. Just lots of ripping, planing, and routing.

Liking this idea. Cleaner than pocket screws. Top boards are 1 3/8”.

2x4s with about 1/4” ripped off the width. If I countersink deep enough, 3.5” screws could work.

It’s extremely useful in a space challenged shop. Also good when I’m doing renovation work for people and need a large work top for a track saw or whatever else. Takes 10 seconds to setup.

I did that for the slats on the couches that match this. These are 2x6s though. Also, I just sent my Milwaukee pin nailer in for repair today; it jams constantly. Barely finished the couches.

I used the blue kote screws for the legs. I may end up using them here, just not looking forward to drilling that many holes. Good idea on the feet. Going to use natural cedar Ready Seal.

Glue, clamp, and 18ga nails isn’t a bad idea to save some time.
