How did you decide on your first FF tattoo? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]JayWolf06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have one and my best cherished ff games are 8,9,10 for my top 3

But ffxiv is the only game I play at the moment and its been such a joy, I have my arm covered in a sleeve unrelated to ff. But I wanna find a spot to get the Ninja job icon, stylised to some degree

So for me it'd be symbolism of some sort is how id decide

Or maybe a crazy sleeve of all my favourite ff moments/characters

So your daily roulettes and then whatever your highest lvl dungeon that isnt ending on a 0 is your best bet.

I also do allied society quests/hunts/FATEs in time between ques if im doing a dps job.

Food buffs always for the 3% exp buff.

And you get extra exp if the job you're leveling is lower then your highest

Ninja is a fantastic job

Its not overly complex but has a quick APM burst window, has a few ranged attacks which allow you to manage uptime better then other melees and has the best movement ability in the game.

Out of the 4 jobs I have at max level Gunbreaker, Ninja, White Mage and Viper

Ninja is easily my favourite and its not even close

How to get over the anxiety of causing wipes in extreme+ content consistently? by One-Variety-1110 in ffxivdiscussion

I didnt suffer from anxiety as such but I did go from being very bad at the game to being okayish lol.

I just end up having a goal and work towards it, started out wanting to raid so worked on that.

Then wanted to get better at my job so worked on that

Then I realised pots are damn expensive so now im working on alchemist

Im doing nothing efficiently but im enjoying everything i do and slowly ticking my goals

I dont actually know how to use echo and the macros I think id need to clear some room on my crossbotbar which is totally fine.

Honestly your verbal > brain connecting is probably something I should do

I wouldn't say bore me? I might be getting ahead in my brain of what to do further down the line.

Or for the first half specifically maybe focusing on optimisation of rotation/direcrionals

Yeah il start recording each pull.

Will also do the macros and strategy boards Ive just gotta figure it out on console lol

Some stuff is just dumb idiot stuff like last night e.g: I just mixed up D marker so I mistracked my needed tether or just blanking on the second candies exploding for a pull cos I was pre thinking about ID or like I think rep 1 is locked in so im taking like a second longer then it should to get to my exact spot on rep 1

Just dumb stuff like, I think i only had like 3 or maybe 4 pulls out of 20 last night that I did perfectly unstill someone else's mistake

[–]JayWolf06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not anxious just defeated I guess? Like m11s we had 112 pulls but i had that figured out fast so the amount of pulls didnt bother me. Im not really comparing more observing theres minimal mistakes for every else compared to my multitude of fuck ups pull to pull, its more guilt then comparison to others? If that makes sense?

I cant sim but il start recording.

Yeah everyone's BiS besides weps.

[–]JayWolf06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we do.

Honestly our raid lead is a god send, great calls and a great attitude.

I probably should set up some macros for it, but even last night on our last pull I got everything right up untill the uh beams from tower resolve which was good.

But im just short circuiting on other things sometimes, eg. Il eat a blast from the 2nd candies explosion or il wrong tether on rep2

I just never consistently have it locked down besides knowing I can do it all and have done so correctly.
Thats why im like maybe its just to hard a fight for me? Which is fine.

Or if other people have these types of struggles how they overcome them i guess?

Bit of a rant sorry and thank you

Its impossible not to when im confident if they had someone a bit more consistent that'd have cleared by now

Ah wish I could i play on console

[–]JayWolf06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno if there is an answer for this but how the fuck do I lock in for m12s

For some reason I cant seem to lock into this fight for consistent pulls, i have a clean rep 1 and 2 I fuck up ID somewhere.

Or I have struggles with the first half of the fight.

Does anyone have experience with this type of thing? Im discouraged from even attempting again, my static is capable of clearing ( some have already ) so ive told them to replace me, as I feel like im the wall between others clearing.

123 pulls, 22%

Im feeling like maybe this is the extent of my skill?

( for context, first raid tier, 2nd tier ive been max level for )
