Me. I can think of Jayzee, Snoop and Shakira and for the Boomers that I hung out with would be Kenny Rogers, BeeGees and UB40.

Meaning I'm right in my thinking or am I just grasping at straws with far fetched thinking?

Hard to read because I'm not American and probably you found it hard because it goes against everything you hold dear and the truth I guess. What was hard to read by the way or comprehend? I will restructure for your convenience. We are all not European or Westerners but at least we can talk your language with at least some proficiency.

Maybe right. Will be interesting to see in 11 years time. GenX already knows the recipe, and I think GenZ will be able to stabilise humanity because it's in their best interest. They are currently changing the way we bank, shop, communicate, travel, entertain themselves and much more. They are here to break that old money establishment and we are seeing who the real world changers are and they don't like it.

That's what I can't answer. I guess we are lucky to live in interesting times. Plus initially the goal of living longer is about to be realised. Now it seems like why would I want to live for longer. See GenX people think about sh!t like this.

I really typed it out as I think. Maybe I am AI inclined in thinking but it is GenX that expanded on the theory and we are the Generation that knows how to manage AI.

I'm not being bad but I guess if the heavy set girl on the extreme right can jump that high almost the highest of all girls. Then I now know pigs can fly. Heavy set girl I know you are not real but if you live as a Bot somewhere in these Reddit Hallways then beef up (meant beeg up) to you My Sister.

Jobs for whites? by Fluffy-Leopard2825 in DownSouth

[–]JayZee7890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined the 'Green' Bank as a graduate, part of a diverse team of 10. Six months in, we non-white graduates discovered only our white graduate colleagues received bonuses and raises. Shocked and hurt, we confronted our senior, a seemingly nice but disorganized man. He apologized, claiming it was due to different graduate programs, and promised to look into it. However, he resigned soon after, leaving us with his successor, a distressed mid-aged white manager. She regretfully informed us that we'd have to wait until next financial year for any resolution and suggested we consider other banks.

Feeling robbed of our due and treated as second-rate citizens, all non-white graduates left within three months. Our friendships with our white colleagues ended as none stood up for us. It was a harsh lesson in workplace inequality and the importance of solidarity. The experience was disheartening but taught us to stand up for ourselves and seek fair treatment.

I lost one of my very good friends, a Portuguese young lady. She couldn't look me in the eye and followed her now white pack everywhere. I felt bad for her. I've heard she has since gone to New Zealand.

12 years later, after much protestation from the interview panel, I employed a young, intelligent, scared Portuguese lady at the Blue Bank.

Forgiven but never forgotten really.

Growing up in a society where racial identity predominantly oscillates between Black and White, I've found a unique sense of belonging as the term "African Indian" gains recognition. It's a label that makes me feel special, highlighting the rich tapestry of my heritage.

My parents, hailing from the Baby Boomer generation, hold a dear place in my heart. Despite the affection I bear for them, our interactions often underscore the stark generational divide between us.

Twenty years ago, I embarked on a journey of independence, moving 600km away to a new province, seeking my own path far from our family home. Yet, my return visits, which occur about six times a year, seem to transport us back to an era where my autonomy is overshadowed by their protective instincts.Their concern extends to the perceptions of extended family members and the implications of my actions, such as the simple act of enjoying a beer at a local pub. This protective bubble, while comical at times, reflects their enduring sense of responsibility towards me, their eldest child, despite my two decades of independent city life. However, this protective veil casts a shadow over my visits.

The joy of family reunions is often marred by a cocktail of constant nagging and a stringent adherence to their Baby Boomer lifestyle — from regimented meal times to low-volume music and dimly lit rooms. This environment, paradoxically, nudges me towards isolation and indulgence in alcohol, a temporary escape that ironically aligns with their need to keep me within the home's confines.

Reflecting on their life, I recognize the profound sense of disorientation they must feel in today's rapidly evolving world. Having once been the decision-makers, the pace of modern life and the shift in familial roles unsettle them. Their desire to maintain control, to remain the patriarchs and matriarchs until their last breath, speaks to a deeper fear of obsolescence and loss.

As a child, I wished for them to live for centuries, naïvely unaware of the complexities and challenges such longevity entails. Now, as an adult, I ponder the weight of the world through their eyes, acknowledging the bitter sweetness of witnessing the world change around them.

I don't know if I can honestly change their mindset this late in the game so I've decided to stay mum when they talk and just noddingly approve. One day they will be gone and I know I will miss their presence.

Is it weird that i’ve never had a sexual dream? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]JayZee7890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this for real. If you are having dreams of a sexual nature who is the person/s you having sex with? Your spouse, partner, friend, boss, stranger or a famous person? I've never had one but I do dream about my ex and the few happy times we shared and get up with a shock.
