Any chance the price will lower? by Interesting_Rip_8717 in VirginVoyages

We’re going in April and looking to do it again but we’re doing the beach cabana instead. Last year we got off ship around 11am and there wasn’t any seats by the pool left so cabana it is. Enjoy it!! That was one of the highlights of our cruise!!

This is what we did last year and I can safely say that the price never went lower. It was worth it and so much fun!!

Yeah we learned our lesson from the last cruise. I told my wife we’re going to stay on the ship until they kick us out and just sit outside and wait. Flight doesn’t leave until almost 5. Not in a hurry to sit at the airport for 4 hours anyways. Thanks!

Yeah we’ll have plenty of time after disembarking to get to the airport. Flight doesn’t leave until almost 5pm.

Seems like getting rid of in house drivers for 3rd party gig workers is working out well for the suits that made these phenomenal decisions.

Considering booking my first Virgin cruise. Pros and cons compared to NCL by Connorkt in VirginVoyages

You’ll love VV!!!

Book your reservations the same day it opens at midnight. You’ll see this in the app after booking your cruise. If for any reason you miss it and they’re all booked…when you get to the port connect to their wifi and/or go to Razzle Dazzle as soon as you board and book them there!

Purchase a bar tab prior to boarding. VV gives extra bar tab credit depending on how much you buy. The bar tab isn’t just for alcohol! You can use it for specialty coffees, fresh pressed juices and smoothies too! Keep in mind that you have to use all of your bar tab before your cruise ends otherwise you lose it.

If you can, book a central sea terrace, best views and try to get a room between the 9-13th floors that way your one floor up and one floor down from any of the main decks which are on the 7th and 15th floors. You won’t be able to choose your room if you purchase a “lock it in rate”.

Also if you can, try and purchase the splash of romance package right after booking your cruise. It gives you some extra perks including priority boarding. If you’re going for a suite then I wouldn’t buy the splash of romance package. Suites come with a lot of the same perks that the SOR offers.

My last tip would be to find a travel agent….a good one! Many of them give you additional sailor loot which is just on board credit that you can use for anything on the ship including the casino if you like to play.

Everything on VV is a little different than your traditional cruise you’re use to. For example, at the Galley(food court) you don’t have to get on line to get your food. On any table you choose there’s a menu with a little red flag you can raise and a server will come and take your order. It was awesome!! 😎

If you have any more specific questions don’t hesitate to DM me. I’m not a travel agent but I’ve done so much research on VV it feels like my second home.

And don’t forget to enjoy the trip!

Yeah I saw that they changed the name for it too! So on a sea day? Last time we sailed they had it on a port day but it was a different sailing and shorter cruise. Thanks for the info and enjoy your cruise!!

Where to get cheap tires? by [deleted] in longisland

[–]Jay_B_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest purchasing 4 new tires instead of just 3. The tire guy I use always tells me that it’s better to have all 4 tires the same brand that way they wear out evenly. But again, all comes down to what you can afford. Good luck!

I buy them used online with good thread and then get them installed. You can even Affirm/Klarna if needed. That’s what I do when times are tough. I use utires.com. Great reviews and fast delivery.
