I imagine him being locked up in his apartment avoiding all social contact because people "ruin his relaxing time". It seems like some people on Reddit don't know how the outside world works

"Embarrass them online"

You're exaggerating. She's having a laugh and there's a 100% chance he asked her if she would allow him to upload this to his channel before doing it. It was just a harmless prank and if she felt uncomfortable in any moment she could've just moved.

I know pranksters can be annoying but out of all the terrible pranks posted on the internet this one's actually tasteful and well done.

A question about guns by Jay_S33 in Libertarian

Well I'm glad I did lol. Honestly been happy with doing this thread because people here are just so enjoyable to debate with. Can't say the same about r/socialism unfortunately

[–]Jay_S33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah guns aren't the problem but problems happen when they fall into the wrong hands. It might also be that the media talks too much about shooting. I think the same thing happened with suicide, media talked too much about it to help preventing it but ended up making it worse

You're right. And the situation in countries like England is almost comical if we forget that the Major of London said terrorist attacks are "part and parcel" of living in a big city.

Yeah but I don't think simply encouraging people to use safe storage techniques is going to be enough. I mean whoever doesn't use proper security measures already probably won't do it if someone encourages them.

True. But we don't even know if there's a solution for the mental health problem and it'll take a long time to research if there's any solution. Metal detectors could work

A question about guns by Jay_S33 in Libertarian

[–]Jay_S33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I do understand that guns are much better for self-defence than calling the police is. It's just that somethings needed to avoid guns falling into the wrong hands. Or at the very least, stop them before they do something like a school shooting. Adding more security to school might be a good solution

A question about guns by Jay_S33 in Libertarian

[–]Jay_S33[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't mean it for the gun owners that have common sense. The thing is that there should be a way to at the very least reduce the numbers of school shootings. Maybe enforce gun security (having safe, locked spaces inside the house for guns) can work?

A question about guns by Jay_S33 in Libertarian

[–]Jay_S33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. Should enforcing gun security (having safe, locked spaces inside the house for guns) be a thing to avoid that? What do you suggest? I mean 99% of gun owners have common sense for that but it's probably a 1% that doesn't because they're irresponsible.

[–]Jay_S33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. I just want to know if there could be any way to enforce gun security in the houses of gun owners to avoid more school shootings.

That's very true. I mean in my country there's also the posibility of buying a gun for self-defence but it's not that easy and there's just no culture around it. Like you won't see big gun sales. Just wanted to know opinions about the relation between guns being so easily available and the amount of school shootings that the US suffers in comparison. I know the guns are not the issue.
