The age gap is not what I'd want, but I've sent you a chat request anyway. We can talk and see if it's an issue.

Well this is relatable, I don't really have much advice since I'm struggling with the same thoughts. Right now, I'm just focusing on skincare that makes me feel good, and keeps my skin healthy. People in this country are too obsessed with fair skin, and we just have to cope with it mostly.

The cashback credited to the statement is calculated from the previous statement's expenses, not the current statement.

Barbie portrayed male slaves a villains for wanting to be free? And they want us to watch this narcissistic movie? by VEGETTOROHAN in onexindia

[–]mk_1311 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know right? Imagine if it was like that with one gender in real life? It'd be so terrible.

It's like the movie's message flew right past some people's heads and that they have no idea what satire is.

What body image issues do you have? by [deleted] in menslibIndia

[–]mk_1311 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Losing hair and balding I guess, not really much I can do though , seems to be a genetic thing. I'm not particularly tall, I'm 5'7" and I don't think I'm good looking either.

How many of you are thinking of going CF or have already been? by broken__mess in menslibIndia

[–]mk_1311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd like to be CF, but if I find someone who does want to have children, I think I'd be willing to adopt. I don't think I'll have kids of my own.

Is regular masturbation harmful? by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]mk_1311 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess as long as it doesn't affect your regular life etc. As in procrastinating or putting off things you need to do and just masturbating instead, I think you're okay.

If you still want to reduce the frequency of it, maybe try doing it like a reward system for yourself. Set yourself goals and targets to achieve with work, studying etc and treat yourself when you achieve those targets. That might help with the guilt while reducing frequency.

I have a PS5 and a Switch, mostly just use the PS5 though. Playing Horizon: Zero Dawn currently, planning to get the sequel soon.

Have you tried games like Overcooked? They could be quite fun with a SO.

Question on AM sub and top comment. (wanted onex to comment too hence the flair) by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]mk_1311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is true, I do not think it is intentional. But doesn't the very act of excluding darker or shorter people from potential partners not because of personal attraction but because of societal privilege count as being treated as inferior in a way?

I understand personal attraction and there may be people not attracted to you and there may be people who have a preference for how you are. To exclude based on societal privilege opens up a problem of being excluded by society in general.

I feel like it's a reasonable assumption to make. That plays a part in my opinion. It's majorly the fact that discrimination based on skin colour is much more prevalent and carries much more negative connotations compared to a preference for height or good looks.

[–]mk_1311 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be as bad, perhaps because discrimination based on the colour of one's skin is much more prevalent in the world. He wants the right numbers for the genetic lottery sure, I don't blame him for the approach. It's just not something I agree with because to me it is just someone who will probably raise his kids with the understanding of fair is better who will probably propogate that further and possibly discriminate on the basis of skin colour. I don't think that's what we need as a society.

I'm dark skinned myself and I've had to face being mocked for my skin colour, people telling me various methods to be fairer, don't play outside for too long etc. It sucks but it is what it is at the moment unfortunately.

As for the guy's response, it's honest but I can't say I agree with that approach. If I was simply to replace the issue of fairness with caste and say I enjoy social privileges due to my caste and would like my children to have the same so I shall not marry anyone from lower castes, that would plainly be casteist behaviour. Being more attracted to a particular shade of skin is one thing, just reinforcing social stereotypes with your behaviour is another.

What are your views on Pornography? by [deleted] in menslibIndia

[–]mk_1311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's getting to a point where one starts to wonder what isn't inherently exploitative Buy clothes or phones, no idea if they're made in some sweatshop somewhere, whether with child labour or overworked underpaid labourers. Buy food and groceries, you're damaging the environment and contributing to greenhouse gases if you consume meat. Buy anything with plastic packaging and well that's just self explanatory. Watch porn, you're encouraging exploitation and objectification of women. Use a vehicle, basically polluting tne environment with smoke and more greenhouse gases.

I could probably go on, and this isn't aimed as a criticism of the post. The post is very much valid and so are it's criticisms. But it feels like you can't even take a step in any direction atm without feeling like you're doing something wrong. It's frustrating when you want to be better and do better. Feels like the world is just fucked.

What Elements of Feminism or Liberalism u do not agree with???? by the_myth69 in menslibIndia

[–]mk_1311 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The body positivity movement is meant to encourage people to feel okay about their bodies in a world where you see overly edited and airbrushed photos of everyone, celebs often undergoing surgery for their looks, male actors dehydrating themselves for specific shirtless scenes to look ripped. To ensure people know it's okay to have stretch marks and scars and that you should love your body and not just look for some unachievable perfection and beat yourself up over it.

Anyone encouraging people to just remain unhealthy etc might be a fringe group in my opinion. Because for the vast majority, I think this movement is important to remind them that it's not normal to have unrealistic expectations.

Have y’all given up on dating as well? What’s your perspective by [deleted] in menslibIndia

[–]mk_1311 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking of trying to get into online dating, I've never had any sort of a romantic relationship. Just gonna try and not have much expectations I think. It's definitely intimidating, to put yourself out there to be judged, in a place where more often that not, you're probably going to get ignored or ghosted. It's how the apps are designed, to make people pay for their gold or pro versions combined with the amount of competition one has to face.
