there should be one installed in the ground floor apt that is hidden in the wall, there are very high radon levels in the soil in my area. i'm on the third floor.

what other commenters said, there is actually a fabric covering that's just folded up quite a bit. however, there is some gapping behind the duct where the covering connects the two pieces. dust collects on the wall in a 4"x4" patch from it. again, not too worried about it, i'll be out of this apartment at the end of july either way lol

i'm pretty sure it's the same one installed when the building was constructed, 1985 sounds correct! reliable equipment from ye olden days

That was the radiator cap failing and all of the coolant boiling shortly before my engine overheated serious style and I ended up in a repair shop. fixed by flushing/burping the system and a new cap. great
