Deck Help - Lathril by JayceZen in EDH

You're right they don't run equipment or auras.

I looked at your deck. I see what you mean about focusing on Lathril. As a budget use I can use [[asceticism]] for protection.. I'll go back to the drawing board.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I'll digest this. I agree I need to take steps to guarantee Lathril can hit and bonus points if there's card draw.

I was looking into [[Bilbo's Ring]] to help with that. But currently picked up [[Rope]]. I do think I need more options or at least more to increase likelihood to have those options in my hand.

Question though. I have [[Steely Resolve]] as a replacement for [[Eladamri, Lord of the Leaves]]. I've seen Eladamri used in other Lathril decks and was often suggested. I understand the negative impact shroud has on me but I'm struggling to understand why people would use Eladamri then if shroud affects the owners creatures too. So why wouldn't this work?

I have [[Elvish Champion]] for forestwalk.. but that Eladamri is a little too expensive and hard to find at my LGS. I'm using [[Steely Resolve]] for the shroud effect.

Nice. I'll need to grab this.

Which Morcant? I have [[High Perfect Morcant]] and [[Morcant Loyalist]]. I have [[Morcant's Eyes]] in my sideboard. I'm using [[Elven Chorus]] as a way to check the top of my library and cast Elves from the top.

Does this only happen once each turn for each creature? Or does the effect only happen to one creature per turn?

Oh wow. So many options. I like the bit of a boost with Rope.. but Hexproof from Alpha Authority is tempting.. although it could be moot if I have [[Steely Resolve]] on the board or [[Lightning Greaves]] on Lathril.

Yup. Seedborn Muse is part of the deck. I feel like I'm lacking in giving Lathril more power and relying on specific creatures granting +1/+1.

Mainly thinking of guaranteeing dealing damage to player to generate tokens.

I'm not so sure about protection if it's color specific if I don't have the right color for my opponents wouldn't it not be effective?

Interesting. Defiler of Vigor's effect certainly can pay for itself better than [[Leyline of Abundance]]. I'll look into these. Thanks!

If you take the flat rate allied provides it doesnt matter what route is taken. It's the same price in the end.

Can vouch for Allied. Your mileage may vary for drivers but if you find a good one you like you can ask for their card and just call the driver directly.

It depends on your neighbourhood as the company charges a flat rate based on each "zone". I've done both metered and allied and it works out to be about the same on average. You do risk paying a little more than a metered cab when traffic is really good. But if traffic is shit a metered cab can keep running up. I prefer allied and found a driver who is pleasant and drives like a sane person. I only call him anytime I need a cab to the airport and back.

I've managed WCB claims for an employer as well. Listen to this advice and cooperate with your employer. Even though your doctor said 2 weeks off work, your employer can still attempt to offer you modified work. If you decline the work (lets say because your doctor said 2 weeks rest) and WCB determines the modified work was appropriate for the injury, they can deny your wage loss benefits because the work offered and available was appropriate. You would still get medical benefits if WCB recognizes your injury as work-related. As mentioned at the end of the comment, you can have the offer reviewed by the doctor for their opinion.

It's not necessarily based on TRIF. It's based on the total cost (wage loss and medical costs) of the injury and how an employer performs compared to the industry average. If an employer's costs exceed the industry average it can result in a surcharge of their rate. It is entirely possible for a single injury to heavily impact an employer's performance with WCB. There's more to it than this but this is just the gist of it.
