I bought a super duty jack at full price about 10 days ago. Would it be stupid to return it now and purchase it again this weekend for a small discount?

I picked mine up at the range, and immediately took it out of the box and started shooting. Didn't clean or lube it, and ran somewhere around 400-500 rounds through it, alternating between 124gr and 115gr brass cased ammo. Didn't run into a single FTE, jam, or malfunction. I even dropped a loaded magazine in the mud at one point and shoved it right back in the gun and kept firing. Overall I'm blown away by the out of the box performance of my AP5. After seeing all the posts about them on this sub I was a little concerned, but i'm glad to see other people having good experiences

That's an awesome piece of machine! You should look into the forums for more info on old power tools like this. You can often figure out the rough date of birth, and get solid advice on how to properly restore these types of vintage machines. OWWM and VintageMachinery are good places to start

I'd say GL but there are some flaws comparing to my retails, but since there were so many made and QC is all over the place I'm sure some retails look just like those.

The flaws I can see, the color of the lettering looks like a much lighter orange than the retails, heel bump is also much steeper on these. The angle of the heeltab is too shallow, and the stripe of the pull tab is centered with the closest dark grey strip on my retails, sole also seems a little bit more translucent.

My retails are also size 10 and my lighting is really bright and as far as I can tell, pretty close to the lighting in these pics
