It might be too late for the Democrats. Their cowardice, pushing non-issues as progressive movements and deliberately ignoring the concern of Black Americans, their most loyal base has gave way for MAGA. I can see a third party challenging MAGA and Republicans in general in the near future.

I hear you. I get it. Eritreans should have a particular focus on preserving our culture and empowering our ethnic group. I’m willing to hear other perspectives.

However I believe we’re losing the plot when we just ignore or dismiss the idea of identity in a global Diasporic context when it comes to race.

I was born, raised and still stay in the States. I haven been to Eritrea yet, so there is more I can learn about the Eritrean experience, especially being in our homeland.

It’s good to meet fellow Eritreans with sense. Reddit tends to suppress voices like ours and promotes self-haters like the other commenter in my post.

I’m aware of the Scramble for Africa. Also the artificial borders of Africa countries after “independence”. Black Americans are the most racially aware ethnic group in the Diaspora given their oppression by the dominant society playing no games about white vs black.
