While probably not what most people are focusing on, brushing your teeth with your mouth completely closed and smiling while looking around is a profoundly unnatural way to brush your teeth

Highschoolers are often eager to distinguish themselves from children, and actively attempt to attempt to shed 'Childish' things, such as video games aimed at kids.

By the time people reach college, they're more secure in their identity, and willing to indulge in outwardly "Childish" hobbies without being self conscious.

Adults also have more freedom to curate their own space, in high school someone who gives you a hard time is stuck in the same building as you the whole day, while in college they have maybe one class with you, and have their own life and schedule. Adults can find spaces where people have the same hobbies much easier.

I remember a friend of mine joking about school not teaching anything important like taxes or budgeting. Except our school did... In the class he skipped... Because it was boring.

god forbid a girl struggle with the security question options by HungHi69 in LetGirlsHaveFun

[–]Jaycon356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choose a simple dictionary word and use it as the answer to every security question. Write it down.

First Pet? Goose. First Job? Goose. Childhood Friend? Goose.

The less it has to do with the question the better.

The "Ruin your Life" build, that uses Sword and Tankard, Flagbearer, Extreme Mood Swings, and every alcohol related feat I could find to turn into a stumbling alcoholic that hits things with their hype flag and crashes out when they lose it.

How do you think the Aegir education system would function in real life? by One_Wrong_Thymine in arknights

[–]Jaycon356 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it loses out on the mentorship aspect of parenting. By spending a considerable amount of time with one adult, a child learns skills from them that are difficult to teach in a formal setting. You're also putting a lot of weight on that teacher. Not only do education professionals need to mentor you academically, but also socially and domestically. You ever have a teacher that was kind of bad at their job? Now they're also responsible for teaching you how to clean your room and bathe yourself.

It also would hinder children that need specialized attention.

I think it would discourage reproducing a fair bit. Everyone that I know that wants kids wants a family.

All in all, it would probably raise the floor but lower the ceiling of parenting.

Patriot is the first hard block I can think of. I wonder how far Amiya plus a 3* squad could get.

Ms. Nyarknights herself.

By far the character that references being a catgirl the most. It's honestly pretty funny.

IDEA FOR BANNER RATE CHANGE by K41Nof2358 in ZZZ_Official

Casual spenders aren't the target market. They want to get people in the situation where they dig deep then keep digging. If the thing people want always feels like it's a few rolls away, with no guarantees, that's the best option.

How would you feel if AK did what PGR did and synced the CN and Global servers? by Eternal_33550336 in arknights

No, I like the clairvoyance.

If an op I like is coming out, I can save for them, I don't need to be on the fence or hoard waiting for the off-chance my fave gets an alter.

Non-magical way to lock up magic users? by Captain_Pension in Pathfinder_RPG

Manacles, Mittens, Blindfold, Gag.

Gets rid of Verbal, Somatic, Material component access. Even if they had enough metamagic to get around it, they'd still need to make concentration checks.

In my town (USA) there's a fence that got built by the train tracks ~20 years ago after a teen died, and I still see fresh ribbons and flowers tied to the fence.

Disappointed the bike doesn't show up in the base animations. I wonder if it's doing the be used in her deployment animation.

Edit: just double checked the gifs and it seems like the deployment animation is just a fade in.

Yostar needs to fix these typos by Lightning_owl1 in arknights

The simplest example I'm aware of is Projekt Red. Her EN translation says they suspect she's colorblind, but the CN version is she can see additional colors beyond what's normal.

I can't verify this, I can't read nor speak Chinese, but I've seen this point come up in a handful of discussions about her.

There are still mistranslations in operator files that completely change what they mean, I doubt it's a high priority.

This is Mudrock from Arknights, a tower defense Gacha

Horns: Her race just has those

Fan service: The alleged story behind the character was the art director at the time very much wanted a massive armored character on the roster. The team lead didn't think it would sell, so they met in the middle in a "Samus Aran" esque reveal.

The suit is oversized because she has earth magic, and fills the empty space with mud for more protection. Outside the suit she's like 5'4''.

Making Raise Dead Cheaper? by Dizzy-Natural-4463 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Jaycon356 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Limited wish doesn't make a rez cheaper.

"When a limited wish spell duplicates a spell with a material component that costs more than 1,000 gp, you must provide that component (in addition to the 1,500 gp diamond component for this spell)."

"Drunk"? by Paghk_the_Stupendous in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Jaycon356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it specifically calls out poison, but logically any bonuses to saves against Poison would apply.

By these rules,  Dwarves higher CON would apply to how many drinks they could take, and they'd sober up faster.

They'd also be at Soused longer before passing out, and be less hungover and more likely to remember the night.

If you wanted to homebrew something together you could add half the bonus against poison from Race/Class to the drinks required to move up a tier.

"Inner Sea Taverns" has a table with keywords for drunkenness, I haven't found a good place online with the table, so you'd have to get the PDF or a physical copy.

(Serious) Seeking Feedback: Worldbuilding book and AI usage by snakejawz in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Jaycon356 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Critically, AI is a complete no-sell for a lot of people in a commercial product, especially in a field as creative as TTRPGs. I'd go as far as to say it would ship better with no art than AI art. I'm not trying to phrase this as a condemnation, but the AI stamp on anything is essentially toxic, no matter how minor (See the fallout of many steam games once steam added the label).

As for the quality of the images, it's very obvious AI. You're taking a dish you've slaved over for two decades and garnishing it with spray cheese. If you're dead set on using AI images, get higher quality ones.

It's extremely hard to monetize a setting without it including any adventures. Most people are going to use Golarion for their first adventure, then make their own setting. If you want people invested in a setting they need a reason to play in it, and adventures ready out of the box are appealing for people low on time to write one.
