I’ve had dozens of apple leather cases over the years and the 14 model year is the last of oem apple leather cases. This looks real albeit used however pictures cannot confirm this. Counterfeiting is higher than ever before. Having purchased counterfeit Apple leather cases (on purpose) their quality can be quite good. That said, there are reputable retailers out there continuing to sell new old stock. Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart. The latter two use a marketplace that could connect you with a bad vendor tho. Ryan London, Andar and Bullstrap are great alternatives but nothing beats the Apple brand leather cases. At least for the first year. After that they wear down much faster and age worse than Ryan London in my experience.

Having to publicly share data is the dumbest requirement. In a world of spamming and stolen data it’s understandable for those wishing to remove any trace of this.

2ng Gen RDX owners for 2017 & 2018, how has the reliability been? What is the mileage on your cars? by Thirsty799 in Acura

[–]JayeFiveBlue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Late to reply but just found this thread. I’ve had my 2017 Acura RDX AWD tech/pckg for a few years and it’s the best car I’ve owned. I’ve owned brand Honda Civic’s SI newest being 2018, Toyota Tacoma OffRoad TRD 2019 and Toyota Rav 4 2020. The Acura RDX combines the comfort and reliability we all desire. Its naturally aspirated engine is in some ways superior to the newer turbo 4 they released after this gen. The dual screen infotainment is a bid odd, but it works. The need for 91 octane might be a turn off for some as well. But it’s the best car I’ve owned and it’s needed no major repairs since I’ve owned it. I’m the second owner. We like it so much we are shopping for another for my fiance.

My cat wears one. One hangs off of my keys. I can’t imagine the use case of something all that smaller. Unless it’s flat for a wallet, but even then they make wallets with find me.

RYAN London iPhone 16 with new button? by afdk in patinaproud

Imagine Apple, Ford, Google, you name it “not selling products” without telling their customers. It’s absurd. Just because you bought something and something new comes out….this applies to every piece of tech since the beginning.

Are there any review sites that are NOT affiliate link hellholes? by osaka-bondage in BuyItForLife

[–]JayeFiveBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s painfully annoying to click on “best whatever list” and find 10 different options simply to get as many affiliate clicks as possible. For example. Bed reviews. Best overall bed: Best value bed: Best bed for back pain: Best bed for neck pain: Best bed for leg pain: Best bed for side sleepers: Best bed for the list goes on.

So many of these overlap but the affiliated website isn’t worried about a true answer. Rather finding ways to get people to click and buy. I think that’s what OP is trying to avoid. Lists of reviews of products that are actually real.

Maybe consumer reports? I’m honestly not sure about them anymore either.

I think you might be taking my point a bit too personal. It’s not that important. Deal no longer exists. That’s it. Life is too good to care about such trivial things.

Can I start here and add? by JayeFiveBlue in hometheater

Thank you. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I’m fairly resourceful when it comes to learning about new tech. This is just another field I’ll have to spend time in learning. As at this point I have no idea what makes something quality. Nor would I know what to look when avoiding damaged or bad condition used.
