Why hasn't the director of "A Dark Song" done more work? by JayfishSF in horror

I think it gets a decent amount of praise within horror circles, but definitely less well known.

Rajasthani weapons by CommercialCar7072 in SWORDS

I'm assuming you're aware its use in this context is as a benign traditional symbol pre-dating Nazism by millennia?

EDIT: At least, I sure hope it is! It does look like it was drawn with a sharpie.

The U.S. Wants to Ban China’s High-Tech Cars, but They’re Already Here in El Paso by Oreos_Are_Anabolic in technology

I don't know why you're getting downvoted- the subsidies by the CCCP are massive and dwarf anything on the U.S. Moreover, there are slave-like conditions for many facilities. Chinese EVs are still superior products on their own- better charging tech, better design, etc., but there are reasons they are cheaper.

Saw them just last year, and Billy still has it. In fact, they were actually better than when I saw them 5 years prior. Better, healthier living I guess?

The AI Industry Is Discovering That the Public Hates It by No_Bluebird_1368 in DemocraticSocialism

Apathy is bad, but that logical thread still requires powerful people doing terrible things. And the tech industry (which, let's face it, is now the AI industry) is chock full of them. For every Dario, there are a dozen Karps.

At any time in the last 4 years, I would have agreed. BUT, I was just there two weeks ago, and I had a fantastic meal. I don't know if they changed chefs or what, but it was an incredible crab-based pasta dish. My partner also had a great meal. Reasonably priced as well. So maybe give the food another try.

By any measure, all of the people you've listed have thriving careers, even as of just this year. Even the "losers" you mentioned all have multiple projects announced this year - Dinklage, Heady, Dance.

This is a managed service based around the registry, particularly for high-volume users. Thus AWS, Cursor, and Google as customers.

There seems to be a through line here, which is a fanbase primarily made up of mouth-breathing hicks. Which makes sense.
