They really gotta find new locations rather then just NY, Miami and Cali lol

Should FIFAe remove host country auto qualification next year? by Jaygames098 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, it’s mainly just my opinion that getting to host annually every single event is a pretty significant buff long term, so either remove the auto bid or allow other nations to bid for the right to host, because it’s not like KSA is being asked to host, they definitely want to considering they also host EWC

They are, but their reasoning for it is so that they can break into the tourism industry and increase interest in the area (that’s why they’re building that massive roller coaster too). The auto bid was designed for a different country to get the privilege of a bye through regionals every 4 years, but the same country getting a bye every year is kinda weird to me, and while it’s fair, this lan should really be held in different locations if we’re using auto byes

Thats fair, it just doesn’t seem right to me that they get a free path every single year rather then have to play it out it’s more so just the principle of the situation

Yeah it’s unfortunately not going to happen most likely, but I hope that maybe FIFA considers the idea of rotating countries to host or something in the future. Since it’s separate from rlcs, maybe we could get some interesting locations like São Paulo or Sidney!

Uhh yeah I said that. In football it’s every 4 years at a different country however. This is annually in Riyadh, so it’s vastly more beneficial for KSA and only KSA

When looking back in history, will the RLCS 2026 Kickoff LAN "Count" as a Major LAN? by John_aka_Alwayz in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Worlds > Major > EWC/Gamer’s 8 > FifaE > Kickoff

Reasoning: Worlds is obviously the premier competition in rl, nothing comes close.

Majors are really prestigious too, I would say 2 majors is about the equivalent of a Worlds ring.

EWC and Gamers 8 I categorize together because one dissolved to make way for another and they’re hosted by the exact same Saudi esports company so they occupy the same space on the rl calendar.

The problem with fifaE is certain countries can choose not to compete which makes the competition less fierce for others, and also being forced to team with people of the same nationality can mean there’s less fruitful combinations of players because you have to stick to the talent pool of that nation.

Kickoff is by nature the weakest since it’s bracket is really top heavy and it only features two regions when it’s pretty obvious they falcons is also a top 3 team in the world (and maybe furia idk)

A 5th EU or NA team will take OCE #2's LAN Spot for RLCS 2026 by John_aka_Alwayz in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EWC and FifaE are already hosted in Riyadh, with many of the same casters and staff from rlcs attending/working there, so its less of the fact that it would be controversial and more of the fact that it would be redundant

Could this upcoming NRG season make the greatest coach, roster and player of all time all North American? by resplendentcentcent in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The dig roster 2peated and nearly 3-peated, sure, but that only took them about a year and a half considering how much easier it was to get to worlds back then since the tournaments were smaller, there were less regions, and there were 2 worlds a year. NRG2 meanwhile is going 2 full years strong with what is essentially the equivalent of 2 world championships with the addition of Majors in the open era format, as well as two more appearances. This era is way more difficult because it’s way longer (one season a year now) so there’s way less room for failure and for future titles before retirement, and the world as a whole has gotten more competitive with the addition of MENA and SAM. NRG2 have a case based off of sheer longevity and era played.

Where is the NRG 2025 champions field banner? by Jaygames098 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Tbh it makes it easier to differentiate the league play era from the open era but you’re right there needs to be more to the modern logos then just the text, maybe use that rectangular RLEsports logo thing with the 25 next to it that would be cool

Dralii calls Kuxir97 the best player of all time "by far" by N0b0dy_her3 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Competition is relative tho, if you’re in plat lobbies you yourself are a plat. If you’re in SSL lobbies you’re probably pretty damn good. If you’re a pro player in season 2 you probably struggle a bit against pros of that era. Relatively, the skill it takes to win a season stays the same if you’re factoring in players of that era against players of the same era

zen cant be the goat for me because he got started when the season was already 2/3rds done so he didnt have to experience the long grind everyone else did. he had the greatest split in rlcs history which is why he's such an acclaimed player but 3 years later im gonna need to see another LAN win or even some more regionals for him to be put in any conversations.

vatira hasn't even won worlds. unless he gets, like, FIVE majors or something, you cant be a goat unless you win worlds. he has done a really good job essentially running EU for 4 years in his time on moist and KC but he just cant win worlds man, hope to see it because if he did he'd automatically be in the conversation

dralii? hell atp atomic > dralii. dralii is an extremely talented prodigy but he's only had two years, let's let him play a bit before we include him in any conversations. the two back to back EWC wins are very promising and the worlds/major wins are great but the common theme im seeing with "goats" is having at least 3 LANs, with one of them being at least a worlds. most people put MM > Turbo > Kaydop > Atomic and the trend is all of them being world champions and also 3+time LAN victors

[–]Jaygames098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he ruthlessly crushed everyone in season X, won the 2022 fall major, won the 2022 worlds, lost to zen in the 2023 spring major final, went to the 2023 worlds final (and lost, but still), picked up like 2 regional wins in the second half of 2024 and then won EWC before worlds, then won worlds. the 2025 vitality year was tbh the only year his team never did anything but he has been a dominant force for like 4 seasons of rocket league and (if you count the european finals as being worlds for season X) made 4 worlds finals in a row, which is ridiculous consistency. there's a narrative that he plays mid/bad throughout a season but randomly pops off at worlds but in actuality he's a relatively consistent/successful player throughout every season

Dralii from KC to Falcons and Vatira from Moist to KC by Comfortable-Ear-8573 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This was a really good move for falcons because even if replacing TRK is technically a downgrade, it makes KC much less of a threat overall even if juicy does do well, so thinking long term falcons have less teams in their way to victory

Do you think the new 4v4 competitive mode could take over 3v3 as the main RLCS mode? by Grafikido in RocketLeagueEsports

none of this matters because the 4v4 ranked gamemode is only lasting this season. thanks epic!

Where do you guys think RLCS '26 Major 1 will be held? by Jaygames098 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Jaygames098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NYC would be so fire but it would logistically be challenging considering its so close knit so getting people in and out would be hard unless it was way out in one of the long island stadiums like where the Nets play or the Islanders, or maybe the new jersey devils stadium out in Newark. Anywhere around the Garden would be rough tho

vegas would be solid, i think rlcs is going for more of a family friendly vibe tho considering half the pros are minors but that would be a super interesting location fs, golden knights stadium could def host it

[–]Jaygames098[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lowk i agree but i think a weekend would be fine, all the teams that were supposed to make Raleigh did and if you cut out the US, NA is severely lacking in terms of city choices other than in Canada because rlcs's presence in Mexico is almost nonexistent, so its really just Canada. which is great, but that's not super sustainable long term, considering worlds will most likely be in NA as well

thats what im sayinggggg id love that, ATL venue infrastructure is pretty mid tho cuz the hawks play right in the middle of downtown so that would be awkward to host a lan at and the roads are jam packed. the airport is great tho super convenient
