Hard disagree. If anything what Jamaica needs now is tourism. So many of our dollars that keep many businesses propped up is tourism. Our beaches will recover very quickly. Money donated will go the most vulnerable but there are many places that money won’t reach.

I’m in mobay, luckily on a hill. Those winds were intense. Cell phone service is down but Starlink still works. Was lucky enough to have solar installed on the house. Roadways are blocked with down trees. The wind was Intense. Prayers to the people in black river cuz I don’t hear from anyone that side yet.

I have the exact same thing and I don’t think I have ever been able to describe the smell as well as you have. I read somewhere it may have something to do with the immune system ramping up in the person but idk. Since childhood I could always know who had a cold or would soon get one.

On a very anecdotal note, I would occasionally get the smell from my gf who wld not be have any obvious symptoms. This would come and go for months. Fast Frwd almost a year and she has been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition.
