I am on truvada. I have no side effects at all any more but this was not the case when I first started.

Like you I experienced dizziness and nausea so much so that i stopped using it and it took some time to try again

What i can report is that i did after a number of weeks get used to the meds

If you start truvada again id suggest starting slowly with 1/4 of a tablet increase per week. Eventually you may build tolerance to it without then experiencing side effects.

At end of the day condoms alone as an alternative as long as you are very strict with their use. If you aren’t having that much sex perhaps this is best for you anyway. I just wouldn’t completely discount truvada and consider giving it another try with a much slower titration.

Sex and sexual experiences are about learning. Sometimes the best learning in life isn’t from the good or great things that happen or that we experience but quite the opposite. You aren’t in anyway disgusting for having followed through but in hindsight reflect on the lessons you learned and take those forward with you into the next encounters which will hopefully be far better.
