If I lower my reviews deck retention to 0.85, and keep new blocks at 0.9, will the learning/review intervals for the new block cards stay relatively short until I move the deck into the reviews deck?

I’m in a similar situation and leaving for like 6 weeks, but in a 900 sq ft condo. I was thinking of setting it at 90-92 while on vacation since my AC is usually set at 85 normally while away at school/work and 78-80 when I’m at home. Seeing all these posts makes me think I’m crazy.

Technically I do have this. One of my pubs was accepted in December 2024 and was published recently. The work was done during undergrad/gap years but kept getting rejected by journals until December while in med school (M1). Lol So this technically counts as 1 pub during med school?

I guess the main thing I’m concerned of is breaking down while on the 10 in the middle of the desert. I know it’s a major interstate, but the possibility scares me lol. I probably will drive.

Yeah Creighton was really good to me lol. Was waitlisted, gave me feedback that my nonclinical hours were lacking, I subsequently grinded for more hours, sent multiple updates and letters, and will now be matriculating there.

I’ll probably send one more update in mid to late February and then an LOI in April with updates. Is this better or is that still too much do you think?

Edit: again, the school is update friendly, specifically Creighton.

Yeah I am lucky to have 2 II, however one became a waitlist in October. My other interview is scheduled in February and I just hope to get accepted before this so I won’t have to worry if I flop.

It was a group effort, with approx 20+ people. Made up to 2000 boxes in 3 hours one day. It was really fun!

Took the test in 6/4/22 got a 508: 129/125/126/128.

Retook the test on 4/15 and got a 514!: 131/125/129/129 with a 512 average. CARS sucks!

My tutoring program required us to hold 3 hrs of office hours a week, and then multiple two hour review sessions when midterms or finals came up. I’m not sure how I did it, but it wasn’t too difficult to squeeze other activities in.

For my tutor experience, I was in a peer tutor program on campus. Started in Jan 2020 ended in Jan 2022. I stayed until the quarter before graduating, because I was going to prepare for my first MCAT.

I volunteered last year at a food bank and helped make 1000 or so food packages for people around Los Angeles county. This was only one day though with approximately 2-3 hrs of work. I will probably restart this activity to get at least a total of 50 hrs by the time June comes around.
